  1. Had most of those from ages 38-42.  Stopped smoking, laid off the carbs, lost some weight, got the sugar down over the past year and was taken off the metformin before my 44th b-day.  So far, so good.

  2. FYI – I did an annual physical every year which included a fasting blood glucose test. Never diagnosed. After rapid weight loss and a blood sugar test of just 100 although I’d just consumed a large coffee with milk and sugar and 2 doughnuts (which I never ate regularly but consumed out of fear because of muscle weakness). My doctor did an A1C test which then gave me a diagnosis of diabetes. She said that test indicated that I’d had it for years! If you tend toward hypoglycemia vs. hyperglycemia, getting A1c test is essential. It may not show up on the regular fasting blood glucose test.

  3. I was diagnosed with diabetes at the age of 10 years old Type 1. My mother cried as if it was a death sentence. I’m 55 now and although I have most of these symptoms, I get by one day at a time. Thank you for this valuable information and in helping new diabetics make the right health choices. It’s not a death sentence if you follow these instructions on managing diabetes.

  4. I was diagnosed a month ago with DM. My fasting blood sugar was 286 mg/dl. I made a conscious decision to cut sugar. Avoiding at all cost. And I also do intermittent fasting. Within two weeks my blood sugar was down to 186 mg/dl. And within a month it’s 139 mg/dl. I didn’t have frequent urination anymore and not feeling lethargic. Hope I can continue this lifestyle forever. I don’t drink medicine because I am trying to conceive. Hope all goes well.

  5. Great video, but it’s important to remember that every single one of these symptoms can be other things as well. Never hurts to get checked though!

  6. I suffered the symptoms lost a lot of weight but I ate very healthy for a long time to help keep it under control although they said I was not diabetic I knew something was wrong I took measures on my own, I was stricken with this due to sitting in place between 8 and 12 hours the day

  11. I had high blood sugar for over 30, years. I managed to keep under control for a long time and was lucky not to have any serious effects from it. I have recently lost 80 lbs and I only take 10 units of insulin at night. I used to take insulin at meal times and 70 units at night. I feel great.

  12. Exactly, after sitting for more than 30 minutes everyone‘s blood sugar skyrockets to diabetic levels. The had sport students tested in a study and messured that. So standing up for a minute and moving around can make a use difference.

  13. I have been an insulin dependent diabetic for about 11 years. I can tell when my sugar is high by the way I feel. I get very sleepy. It’s hard to concentrate, don’t want to do anything and just feel useless. When my sugar gets too low, I feel shakey, jittery, sweaty and hot. I also may get very hungry. It’s fairly easy to tell the difference between high and low sugar levels. It may take awhile when you’re first diagnosed to figure out exactly what you are feeling. Check your blood sugar anytime you are in doubt . Make a blood sugar journal and note how you feel when your BS is high or low. And what you did to fix it. Hope this helps.

  14. I might add some thing, I know there’s a lot of people out there in my situation, that have multiple diseases, and therefore take many different medications, all of which can result in the same symptoms mentioned in this video. Also speaking as a medical professional, I honestly believe that the number one symptom and almost everybody that I’ve come across who is diabetic, is the excessive urination. Most medications, with the exception of water pills, don’t cause excessive urination, and it’s usually The prominent telltale sign that you are diabetic, but don’t assume anything ever. I can’t emphasize this enough, please do not diagnose yourself, especially using the Internet, get to your doctor and health he or she run all necessary bloodwork or lab work to determine the source of the problem. There are many diseases that have very similar Symptoms, so please don’t panic, it could be something very minor, but whatever you do, don’t ignore it, don’t self diagnose, just go to your GP, or a walk-in clinic, and have them do the appropriate investigations, that way you’ll know for sure without any guesswork or putting your health in jeopardy. If I had a dollar for every time I saw a patient that diagnoses themselves, I’d be a A very wealthy man. I’m not a doctor, I have my masters degrees in medical laboratory sciences and medical radiation sciences, so I do know a thing or two about the human body, it’s an incredibly complex and absolutely remarkable machine, we’re almost anything can happen. More often than not, because it’s normally a very simple thing, like an infection, easily treated, and goes away in a couple of weeks, but like I said, don’t assume, but don’t panic either, just get your butt to the doctor, and take it from there. I know of what I speak, I am what you might say a complex man, because I also have 11 chronic illnesses, that were the direct result of the treatments for my two main chronic, and sometimes fatal diseases, Crohn’s disease and intestinal cancer, but modern medicine is also a very remarkable thing, and they have saved my life more times than I can count. I know it can be scary, and that in itself, is one of the top reasons why most people don’t go to the doctor, but you cannot risk playing with your health. Like I said, it’s probably nothing major, but in the off chance that it isn’t, and it’s something serious, you can do irreparable damage by not treating it in time, I learned the hard way, I was 20 years old, just about to start university after taking a year off so I could work and save up enough money to pay for everything, when a problem wife had all my life Normally went away, didn’t go away. For about six weeks every year, I would get unbelievably painful cramps, diarrhea, vomiting, fevers, total loss of appetite, night sweats, dehydration, even jaundice, but being absolutely terrified of hospitals, I absolutely refused to go see my doctor, and because of my stupidity and ignorance, I ended up losing in total 95% of my entire gastrointestinal tract. By the time they diagnosed me my Crohn’s disease was stage four, in other words it was the worst case you could possibly have, I let it get so far out of control of my large intestine literally fell to pieces and ruptured, which killed me for two minutes, thank God I was in the hospital when it happened. That was the beginning of a very long and painful journey that I’m still going through, it’s just ironic that I ended up working in healthcare, because originally I was going to study music, but after being sick for so long I got used to the environment and decided that I liked it, from the helping perspective, but I know for a fact that it’s my own fault, after waiting so long to get diagnosed. My surgeon told me that if I had come in years earlier, I could’ve completely avoided any surgery at all, by being put on the proper medication when I was young, but instead, I let fear dictate my life, please don’t make the same mistake I did. Diabetes actually runs in my family, but thankfully I haven’t got it, yet, but I know for a fact that it is very easily treated with proper nutrition and medication. It takes a bit of adjusting, but you can live a long full life with diabetes, either type one or type two, so even if it is that, there’s no need to panic, Just make sure that you educate yourself as much as you can, and take care of your body, something that we should all do anyways.

  15. I found another issue related to diabetes was cold shoulder. I eventually had an MRI because I thought I had a torn rotator cuff but the orthopedic surgeon advised I had adhesive capsulitis aka cold shoulder and women with underlying endocrine issues such as diabetes experience it a bit more than men. Currently doing PT for the shoulder and eating less processed foods, less sugar and stopped eating at night during my shift at work. I work nights.

  16. I’m 13years old and I’m starting to get a darker neck and I’m scared it might be diabetes but that’s the only symptom I have

  17. My mum was diagnosed last year December 2020 i pray we can reverse it. I’m also showing signs as well. I’m going to get some bloods done but I’m showing symptoms. Please please look after your bodies eat well, limit your carb intake. Avoid snacking if not eat healthy snacks like nuts. Drink more water. Avoid soda. No smoking and careful with alcohol. I’m scared for mine and my mother’s future. I hope I can come back here with good news one day. Please pray for us. Oh exercise as well. Sleep well too. 💗

  18. Then again, you can have it and have none of these symptoms. 17 years ago I was getting ready for a back surgery revision. My pre-op tests showed a blood glucose of 180+. I was totally asymptomatic.

  19. That is true. My vision is a little blurred in the morning but I have cataracts so I think this is why it happens. It’s back to normal later in the day.

  20. I had almost all of these symptoms. After some alarming blood lab tests results, I made some major changes in my life. I only eat in an 8-hour window, which means I skip breakfast and fast for 16 hours a day. I cut WAY back on carbs and stick to a low carb diet. I also made sure I get exercise every day, even if it only means a 20 minute walk. Been doing this for 14 days and have lost 12 pounds already. I intend to stick to this as a lifestyle for the rest of my life. It really isn’t that hard. Once you cut out most of the carbs in your life, you don’t really crave carbs.

  21. Sounds amazing. I’m gonna do this starting tomorrow. Thanks for sharing

  35. @David Schmidt first don’t panic. It is reversible!
Look at what kind of food you have eaten till now.
Limit carbs, limit sweet fruits as well for sometime.
Start breathing exercises /yoga, keep yourself active, try to workout a little.
If on the heavier side, you need to reduce some weight.

And my friend whenever you eat you tend to raise your insulin level (diabetics face insulin resistance) in the body so try to eat fewer times a day.
    Don’t munch throughout the day.
Eat homemade good food with lots of vegetables, non carb grains, sit in the sun(vit d is essential to our health).
Don’t fall for artificial ways to get treated. You are very much capable of handling your health issues all by yourself.
If you have panic attacks or palpitations you may need more B6, B12, vit d, magnesium, potassium.
Also no alcohol, no soda. Atleast for timebeing till you get things under control.

  36. @KP thank you KP…. shouldn’t I go get tested for Diabetes though??
I went yesterday to a walk in clinic to get tested but the front desk person told me all they could do is test my glucose level, and that ultimately not even be able to tell me if I am or not….oh yeah and the wait was going to be about 5 hours!….
I think I might go in today….what else have I got to do… I’ve been having some form of on again of again problems with anxiety sence I was in the 5th grade….my panic attacks might be low blood sugar ….or some kind of actual anxiety/ panic attack….😑😑😑 I don’t know….I feel like my fight or flight thermometer is all messed up like…..I really don’t know.
I was telling my really good friend/ roommate that things were already bad enough with the panic attacks….now I might have to worry about diabetes low blood sugar levels throwing me off??
    Freaking yikes ya know??
Anyways,if nothing else, thanks for listening to my rants KP….it helped 🌵🌴✝️🇺🇲🍕🎂🐓🌻🎁💯🐧

  37. @David Schmidt no problem mate!
    If you want get tested.
The way you feel will definitely impact your health in a negative way. Feeling so low isn’t right but look for certain triggers. Do you fear facing people? Or do u procrastinate so much that you feel under pressure to meet deadlines or just make payments on time?
May be all you need is sleeping on time before 11pm. Your circadian rhythm might be out of order!
Talking about one’s problems is the right way to vent out.
Try to change your lifestyle a little, am very positive it will help you.
    Tc.
And if you still need somebody to vent out am all ears here🙂

  54. Brands that manufacture chronometer watches
Understanding COSC Validation and Its Importance in Horology
COSC Validation and its Rigorous Criteria
Controle Officiel Suisse des Chronometres, or the Controle Officiel Suisse des Chronometres, is the official Swiss testing agency that certifies the accuracy and precision of wristwatches. COSC validation is a mark of superior craftsmanship and reliability in chronometry. Not all watch brands follow COSC accreditation, such as Hublot, which instead follows to its own demanding criteria with mechanisms like the UNICO calibre, reaching comparable accuracy.

    The Science of Exact Chronometry
The central system of a mechanical watch involves the mainspring, which supplies power as it loosens. This system, however, can be prone to external factors that may influence its accuracy. COSC-validated movements undergo rigorous testing—over fifteen days in various conditions (five positions, 3 temperatures)—to ensure their durability and dependability. The tests evaluate:

Mean daily rate precision between -4 and +6 secs.
Mean variation, maximum variation levels, and effects of temperature variations.
    Why COSC Validation Matters
For timepiece enthusiasts and collectors, a COSC-validated watch isn’t just a item of tech but a demonstration to lasting quality and precision. It signifies a watch that:

    Provides excellent dependability and precision.
Ensures confidence of quality across the complete construction of the timepiece.
Is apt to maintain its value better, making it a smart choice.
    Well-known Timepiece Brands
Several famous brands prioritize COSC validation for their watches, including Rolex, Omega, Breitling, and Longines, among others. Longines, for instance, offers collections like the Archive and Soul, which feature COSC-accredited mechanisms equipped with innovative materials like silicon equilibrium springs to enhance resilience and performance.

Historical Background and the Development of Timepieces
The concept of the timepiece dates back to the need for precise chronometry for navigation at sea, highlighted by John Harrison’s work in the 18th century. Since the formal establishment of Controle Officiel Suisse des Chronometres in 1973, the validation has become a benchmark for judging the precision of high-end watches, maintaining a tradition of superiority in watchmaking.

    Conclusion
Owning a COSC-validated watch is more than an aesthetic selection; it’s a commitment to excellence and precision. For those appreciating accuracy above all, the COSC accreditation provides peace of thoughts, ensuring that each validated watch will perform reliably under various conditions. Whether for personal satisfaction or as an investment, COSC-validated watches distinguish themselves in the world of watchmaking, maintaining on a legacy of meticulous timekeeping.
