They could have explained what actually is and what causes it than just talking about it being itchy…
I got them way too often in high school because I was a swimmer. Basically if you have too much moister, you’re going to get a yeast infection.
Monistat gives me quarter sized blisters. I found this out when it was already applied. Please girls please put a little of anything on the inside of your wrist for like 15 minutes before you put it anywhere down there, blisters are still somehow worse than the yeast ever was.
I am a nine-year-old and I had a yeast infection when I was seven and I think it was one of the worst pains I’ve ever had my life
It’s so much more than itchy. How abr on fire, stings, burns, you can actually scratch so much that you make yourself bleed. I’ve had that happen before. This particular time I was going to work and had to be late for work that morning as the pharmacy didn’t open till 09:00 I sat in my car waiting and waiting. Was almost in tears several times It was so painful.
I got diabetes really young and I used to get yeast infections a lot cause my BS used to get too high. I never took the creams but this little pink/white pill I was given always worked that same day or the next day. It was like my lifesaver. Now it’s been over 5 years since I’ve gotten one. Feels great lol
I had a yeast infection for a year. It would go away for a day or two then come back for a couple of months. I went to my family doctor and planned parenthood so often that they can guess why I was there for. Got it as a side effect from my antibiotic. Tried different creams and medication but wouldn’t go away. After a year it’s finally gone!
Anyone else suffering from yeast infection while watching this?
LilySkye SAME IM A SWIMMER AND I GET THEM SO OFTEN
I had one in high school. I freaked out so bad. But strangely enough, I got more comfort form the monistat instruction pamplet then I did my own mother who bought me the damn box.
Taking antibiotics can cause a yeast infection…I learned that while trying to get rid of a UTI…that week sucked! just glad I wasn’t on my period
The embarrassment and shame people have about this is silly. It happens and we should be open and support each other. No need to get the cringe out.
i know what it is.. but a lot of people do not know especially if you’re young.. all you get from this video is that women get it and that it is itchy..
I got an infection from using a type of soap I quickly found out I was very allergic to. It was like the chicken pocs but only in one area. Scratch it and it got 1000x worse. 😭😭
*moisture
What do you do to get rid of them??? Would over the counter medicine work?

SuJu ELF since 2009 sorry this is late, but how did you get rid of it? Did you take a long term course of diflucan or something!?
Currently recovering from my very first yeast infection.
When I found out, I freaked the eff out and mum told me to calm the eff down (I’m 28).
What caused it? Most probably my high intake of simple carbs and sweet stuff and also cleaning myself down there with scented soap (idiot).
I never knew what mum meant whenever I would binge eat sweet stuff and she would say “Go ahead! Feed your yeast!”… now I know lol!
@Elle Jay They don’t always go away on their own. One woman said she had it for 2 yrs and as you may guess, she certainly could tell it wouldn’t go away by itself.
I’m currently having it right now and I’m 15 and I’m really scared to tell my mom about it
Unprotected sex and not peeing afterwards or not showering after sex
Right?! And instead of making it a paid advertisement WTH. Plenty of women cure them naturally. And for those asking a yeast infection is an overgrowth of candida. Puts your vag pH out of balance. Causes are pretty everyday stuff.
Omg I go swimming every day
What works well for the itching before going to the doctor is cleaning the area with a hot towel, using oil on the area so the candida doesn’t touch the skin (causes the itch) and using a paper towel or cotton wool soaked it oregano infused hot water xx
The only thing I didnt like about monistat is the burning sensation afterwards. I now use the Cvs brand for yeast infections, no burning sensation.
If you have a yeast infection, otc treatments work. I had one that just wouldn’t go away this went on for like a month and when I went in, i told my obgyn about the itchiness and how it wouldn’t go away. She prescribed prescription strength pill and problem solved.
Got my first yeast infection while I was still in elementary school. Woke my mom up at 3am crying because I thought there were “worms” crawling in my vagina. It was horrible and I had no clue what to do. I had a urologist I saw as a child so she took me in and we got meds. But a few years ago I got one and decided to pick up monistat instead of going into the doc….MY ENTIRE VAGINA WAS ON FIRE!!! Apparently some people have an allergic reaction to monistat and I am one of them. I have a high pain tolerance but this had me crying. I can’t even describe the burning pain from the suppository. I was literally sticking my fingers in there trying to fish out any remaining particles of the meds. Worst decision of my life.
my monistat burns but they said its normal
They talk about it so smooth and calm like if it is easy to deal with. I’m here to fix that. A yeast infection hurts like a bi**! It’s itchy, it comes with rash and it BURNS, it makes you scream when you pee, it makes you have anger, it makes you stay in bed all day. You can’t even wear panties. And. Let’s not talk about having your period and yeast infection at the same time. I’ve heard they are all diferente but people need to talk about the real thing. Maybe a pill anti fungal is not enough. I had to take two and it was gone after two weeks. Too weeks of my v on fire, literally. This is a no joke. Oh…. The discharge is terrible
I’m 16 and I’m currently suffering from a mild yeast infection. It doesn’t burn when I pee but it does itch on and off. And my discharge is coming out a little thick and white and it smells sweet. It’s the first day and I’m drinking a lot of water to flush it out at least. I told my mom and she said that we will go get medication for it. She said she had it too and that it’s normal. Also my period is coming soon so hopefully my period will help flush it out. I hope it does bcuz I’m nervous to go to a gyno. I just can’t do it and she tells me that I don’t have to be nervous… Like how does that help me. I’m just anxious to go. I hope this thing goes away so I won’t have to go.
Awww you guys are so cute and made me feel so much better! I have one right now and am researching remedies but I think the remedy I really needed was something to cheer me up and you ladies did it. Thanks for being so rad 🤟🌻
Same 😭
Sugar will definitely bring it on
I can’t do the 1 day or 7 day one. It literally feels like it’s on fire. The one that always works for me is the 3 day ovule capsules one. Don’t know why or what’s the difference, but it does.
What did u take to get rid of it? I’m on these anti fungal antibiotics that are specifically for bad yeast infections and it still isn’t working
@Aly B Hi. I’m 3 years late. Never got notified. I changed my underwear to cotton woman boxer, made sure my down there was completely wipped tried with tolet paper before wearing underwear, wore loose fitted clothes, and changed my diet completely. I occasionally like to walk around the house without pants on. Just my cotton underwear so my down there can breath. Going to the doctor office wasn’t helpful so I did my own research. I tried many “myths” too. Haven’t had a yeast infection since then but uti prone which is worse.

@New Who Fan thank you! Was there a particular medication that helped get rid of it?

Yep 😂my first one and god I hope my last
I know it’s a little scary the first time, but I PROMISE, going to the Gyno is totally worth it, and actually not that scary after you do it once! Here a great tip: Just meet your doctor first to talk through all the details of the exam first. Make an appointtment… Just to have a talk with her! That’s what they are for! Oh, btw I highly recommend getting a female Gyno if you’re young… You will just feel more comfortable with a female usually. If you don’t like your doctor, demand a new one until you do! Ill say that again because its so important…. If you don’t feel comfortable with the doctor you have, then DEMAND a new one until you find a doctor you love and trust!! You don’t have to have the exam until you feel ready. There are a amazing doctors out there who will take the time to help you feel totally comfortable with an exam before you even have the appointment, and then again talk with you for however long you need beforehand on the exam day.
Your mom sounds great too! Trust that it’s absolutely no big deal, and it will definitely go away. You got this 😁
Yay!!!
That’s awesome, I wonder what that pill was. Good for you!
Yep absolutely. Probiotics can help, especially in recurring cases (I have to be on antibiotics for months at a time so probiotics really do help). I specifically got vaginal health probiotics. 👍
😭

@honeycombfelix same here, ive had it for a while and im scared to tell my mom. im going to try to tell her this week. but 2 years? thats a longg time. you should def tell your mom so it doesnt turn into a disease.
Probably Fluconazole/Diflucan. It’s not available in Japan, and it makes me so mad.
Meee 😭😭😭
…me 😭
Bro…. Why y’all freaking out about telling your mom? Cant u just save up some money and go to the store to buy some cream yourself? I don’t think u need to be a certain age to buy it 🤔
