I’m positive my blood sugar is high especially as I’m typing this. For the past week I’ve been doing nothing but feeding my sugar cravings and becoming increasingly thirsty/dehydrated, I nearly threw up after having sugar, been having a sour stomach, my sleep patterns are affected/I can’t sleep most nights, I think I might have hyperthyroidism. I haven’t gotten my blood tested but what Dr office is gonna be open on Sunday? No I refuse to go to a hospital where they will charge me $25k 😂however I do want to reduce my life threatening risks

I thought hypoglycemia was low blood sugar not high blood sugar

I am the opposite have eaten extremely low carb for months, even fasting without food for several days, taking metformin, exercising 30 minutes a day and my blood sugar is still high in the 10s and 12s mmol, I am becoming demoralised like it doesn’t matter what I do.
It’s clear that chronic high glucose levels lead to health issues, but can you clarify what’s wrong with temporary glucose spikes? Like the ones caused by eating a banana or an apple. Is it a great workout for the beta cells in the pancreas to quickly ramp up insulin production? Thank you in advance, somehow I can’t find any good research on this topic.
@Sean_B it cannot be reversed. It can go into remission! Diabetes is a chronic lifelong condition! Like asthma can go into remission if it is well controlled
