GO WIN THAT COMPETITION I’LL BE CHEERING
Honestly, I don’t care what ppl do with/to themselves. But seriously. If it’s a girl “she’s”a girl. Happy that she is comfortable in her skin. And has peace of mind. But “she”will never be a “he”. Regardless of the hormones and surgeries.
Good for him! He clearly works hard and could pass for any of the other men they feature!
AIDEN is HOT!
GO AYDIAN!!!
@***** Whatevs? What are you…15? Ok…ok…you are right…I’m belittling you and for that, I’m sorry. I agree…it was unnecessary. Unfortunately, I can’t apologize for anything else I’m saying. As for debating, you are trying to tell me that once a female…always a female. Being female and a woman aren’t always in the same category when it comes to the psychological aspect of it all. I have a transgender cousin. The assumption that it is all as easy as a physical description to give way to what makes a man a man or woman a woman…is incomplete and sometimes can be perceived as rude…if it’s the given description as you claim. Gender and sex are two separate things. Just because the person was born a particular sex, doesn’t mean that’s who they are…who they identify with. It’s not just an identity, but who they were meant to be. So, when someone like you calls someone out (on purpose) by the wrong pronoun, it comes across as demeaning, discriminatory and disrespectful. It’s all about respect. My cousin identifies with a woman, although she was born male. Does that maker her any less a woman? No. Why? Because it’s who she’s supposed to be…who she identifies with. Perhaps you should try engaging yourself a little more into the psychological aspect of it all. You don’t have to like it to respect any of it, but I can assure you, acting in the way you are isn’t a matter of opinion…it comes across as ignorant.
@***** Check my other reply. This thread is old to me.
@***** “Now I get it, you think the terms for “female” and “woman” aren’t synonymous. I’m afraid the dictionary won’t agree with you on that one.”
First of all you are confusing a dictionary with a thesaurus which give words that are related but not always identical in meaning. In a dictionary the words “woman” and “female” do not typically have identical definitions and as such are not synonymous. However what the dictionary says is irrelevant since what actually matters is how the terms are applied in the real world.
“Sex” is a legal title that designates a person as “male” or “female” and that is all. If a person is designated one sex at birth but goes through a transition process and updates their birth certificate; then that person is legally the new sex and has always been the new sex since the old sex designation no longer legally exists.
“Gender” refers to the sociological role that a person lives and expresses them self as. Typically gender roles are “boy” or “girl” for children or “man” or “woman” for adults. However other non-binary roles such as “genderqueer” or simply “non-binary” also exist.
So cam kevin hart be on the cover of women’s fitness now?
We are real ppl. I don’t feel the need to pander to insecure individuals that need approval to do what makes them happy. u figure it out. I know who I am and my destiny.
What if he/she gets pregnant will men’s health give tips on staying in shape while pregent?
damn he’s hot
My mother was in his wedding. I’m happy for him and the opportunities he has found.
@NoDramaQueens Thing is though, if you met me or any other trans guy, you probably wouldn’t know we were trans so you WOULD call us ‘he’ a guy, etc. If somebody called me ‘she’ now I would just laugh because it’s so ridiculous – I’d be a pretty scary woman haha :’)
@sam ◢◤ I think it’s awesome that you ask questions and do research. I didn’t know much about transgender people as a teenager but knew a fair few at 21 onward. SO many people don’t want to know or sympathise/empathise, even some queer people are quite transphobic but if we all just have these conversations it tends to seem less intimidating.
I actually had a trans female attracted to me a couple months ago. She’s a local rock chick known around the place and I thought she was cool but I didn’t know she was pre-op until the night she came over. Her personality was too full on for me anyway but the fact that she still had male parts was something I wasn’t prepared for. I’m bi and am attracted to trans guys so that’s a different story. I could easily fall in love with a F2M trans guy.
@BelleoftheBall2night Agreed 🙂
@Dubious Wretch yeah, i saw some photos haha on the surgery..
@sam ◢◤ Okay… but ‘haha’? Gawd, I hope you’re not taking this whole thing as a joke after I gave you all those compliments 😉
@Dubious Wretch I actually didn’t even read your comment! i didnt see haha, no! not as joke at all, im honestly just curious about them… i don’t like being ignorant about things, i try to open my mind to receive new things and ideas, the world changes a lot 🙂
XX = Biological Female
XY = Biological Male
Nice slap in the face to us men
If you think it’s a slap to the face for us men you must have your priorities out of place dude.
+Tjitro Mayac And why do u say that?
Well if he identifies as male then all we can do is go with it. Especially if he’s undergone medical attention to transition. No transgender wants to hurt anyone, just like everyone else. And well, he just happened to be a very determined transgender man to compete for the cover.
Plus transgenders are called by their chosen gender for a reason. It’s who they are. Do you think they like being reminded of what they’re not? Who they used to identify as?
Wow thanks for the information I don’t think anyone knew that.
@Izix ftm transguy You have to think though I’m not sure if your a man or a women but to me I’m a man and if i lost my penis id most likely consider suicide as well. Im not saying your wrong I’m just saying a very large percentage of trans-females do commit suicide after sexual re-assiment surgery. There is actually quite of bit of men who had sexual re-assiment surgery lived as a women for many years and now want to live as a man again. There are plenty of people like that.
Becuase I am a born male and that is the only one no such thing otherwise
@Izix ftm transguy Most of the suicides occur pretty soon after the reassaiment surgery so yes I’m sure a lot of them end up committing suicide over regret. and You can’t deny that there are men who were born men who became a women and then later regretted it and now live as a man again only now they can’t undue the surgery that has beeen done to them.
Ok but you are talking about trans women. This video was about a trans man. Not every trans person commits suicide and not all regret going through transition. In fact a lot more are happy about transition than not.
He sounds like Emile Hirsch
+Taylor Delma He DOES!
+Terrance Mayac I identify as a person you owe 1 million dollars to. Now give me the money you owe me or you are not respecting my identity
This is horrifying.
@***** Well that’s how he what’s to be known then that’s fine with me
Wrong magazine
I agree. People just need to start saying it in a compassionate way. Don’t hate transgender people.
