You never fail to impress, thank you so much some vital information told in your usual hilarious way. Magic stuff.
Have you tried these ingredients for other types of infections? Im especially interested in the manuka honey as it is used directly on wounds for healing
Pippi is hysterical. Thanks for participating Pippi. Great topic and useful information. Much appreciated.
My young 9 month old cat had pyometra. When she went into heat, she attracted my 8 year old neutered male. He actually penetrated her. I didn’t worry cause she wasn’t going to get pregnant. However a month later she was acting very aggressive and didn’t want me to touch her. Then i saw blood come out of her uterus. The vet told me it was nothing. I told vet it might be Pyometra , the vet said it only happens to older female cats that aren’t spayed. Not young cats. Well the next day , the cat had white pus coming out of uterus. I rushed cat back to vet, There was a different vet , and he told me it was pyometra, and that she needs emergency surgery, now! The operation was successful, he removed the whole uterus filled with puss. It was a delicate operation. He showed me a video of the uterus he removed, It looked like a sausage filled with white Elmer’s glue! That vet saved her life.
Our Marley got it when she was 8. Needed an emergency op £ 1800.
All went well. Still alive and happy.
Dr Jones I love your lab. My husband and I had a yellow lab 10 years ago. She was our big baby. She was so smart. My husband bought her for duck hunting and family pet. She did so good at getting those ducks. We lost her to someone poisoning her to get to someone’s plants. If you know what I mean. She was only 8 yrs old. It was so hard on my husband and I when she died. Labs are so loving and kind hearted with people. We miss our girl lots. Plan on possibly getting another girl in our near future.
My old Golden had a closed pyometra at ,8 yrs old, with no symptoms other than suddenly seeming depressed one day. I phoned our country vet and took her in right away. P was suspected due to time from heat, but no proof, but she was prepped for surgery the next day as we had planned to get her spayed. She had been hormone reactive with vomiting during her heat, as well as having two false pregnancies, gathering fake puppies like socks, and caring for them for 6 weeks, despite never having been bred.
Both uterine horns were swollen to bursting, and he called me immediately to let us know. Two vets did the delicate job of removing the about to burst, pus sac, and were surprised she had not shown other symptoms. I was so glad we acted on that vague symptom of depression, because another couple of days would have been disasterous. She happily roughhoused with her 3 boys another 6 years.
newnews brooklyn my dog tore her skin on sharp field wire, the vet stitched the wound, but the wound was so large, that the stitches opened, he told me to apply Manuka honey daily, I did as instructed, and within 6 weeks my beautiful dogs wound healed completely.
So good it turned out well.
Thanks 🙂
I’m glad it turned out well. Good thing you knew about Pyometra. I made this video to raise awareness as this could be fatal when left untreated.

I hope there are more doctors in the world like you!!! The fact that you are giving free professional advise is very selfless! Thank you! And i wish you, your pets and patients health!
Today, I lost my minpin. I really wish I would’ve seen this in time. The vets told us that her discharge was “normal” for a dog her age and there’s nothing they can do about it (she was 11 at the time). Fast forward two years, her Pyometra got worse; discharge increased significantly then it just stopped. Im almost certain that is what poisoned her. I wish I got a second opinion because then, I could’ve at least tried to help her and now I feel like I’ve failed her. She suffered a seizure 3 days ago, then began head pressing. Over the course of 3 days, she lost full mobility, vision, hearing and she couldn’t even recognize my voice or face. She wasn’t the dog a knew; almost zombie like. Because I live on a remote island, immediate vet care is nothing but a myth. Transportation only comes around on Thursdays now via the boat, and no planes are flying because of Covid. I feel really bad that she had to suffer the way she did, but I tried my best to make her as comfortable as she could’ve been during her last days. Pleaseeeee take this horrific thing seriously because watching my fur baby suffer literally hurt my heart 😞😞😞😞
Thank you Doctor for sharing ,My 3 years old dog named Trigo when into heat a month ago and this morning I saw some discharge from her vagina .
I was worried ,I’ve watched alot of videos but yours it the best .
Thanks,

Doc glad to have found this video, my dog was in heat 2 weeks ago, since then its been 8 days that my dog is not eating ok, before he dives at her bowl and eat everything, now she only eats when fed by hand in little amounts, but she is not lethargic and even wants some belly rub, I’m really concerned and looking into pyometra as the cause though my vet ruled it put because she doesn’t have any discharges, she’s on antibiotics for 4 days now but still she’s not eating the usual way she doesn’t have fever as well, blood test doesn’t show any infection and even her ficalysis is ok, even my vet is puzzled about her, is this pyometra or behavioural thing?
Hi Doc, my 13 yo in tact dog recently went to the ER. She was in season but there was more intense bleeding pus. She eventually became food and water averse, had diarrhea and some vomiting and became quite lethargic and ill. I could not afford the diagnostics nor the emergency and the vet concluded that given how she presented it was likely an open pyometra and my only last ditch option would be antibiotics.
He did not have high hopes for her to make the next 48 hours, but by some miracle she pulled through that very critical stage and is getting stronger everyday. The discharge is nearly gone and she has a healthy appetite and has put on weight once again. Her energy levels are also back up. My question is, what would you suggest for prevention of recurrence? Would any of these remedies be advised? I have switched her food to high quality canned and raw food to ensure she is well hydrated. But I have not returned to any supplements yet as I don’t know if any would counter the effects of the antibiotics. She is on clavamox and clindamycin. Any advice you can give would be greatly appreciated!!
THANK YOU SO MUCH DR.!!!! THE Chinese herb has literally saved my dogs life. Yes I know it isn’t a permanent solution, but it will give me the time I need to save for surgery. My 13 year old sweet baby girl is eating, jumping, and wagging her tail as if she was 3 years old ❤. It took about 2 weeks to see the results but this herb is has worked wonders.
The sad fact is that without surgery the pyometra will come back. Best thing you can do is take the doctor’s advice (I highly reccomend the chinese herb) and try to save for surgery.
Can you share to us where we can buy that chinese herb
I agree with you. This video saved my baby’s life. She was suffering so bad from this and I had no idea what it was. Took her to the vet. Charged me almost $500 just to look at her and didn’t get a complete confirmation it was this. The vet wanted to give her a treatment that would have costed thousands of dollars. The ingredients in this video are items we already have in our home. Now she is up and moving and starting to get better.
Hi may i know where did you buy it?..
Has anyone found it
@Alex & Lena Velez
I’m so happy for you , do you think fresh garlic would work too ,
Pyo can be closed
Only way to confirm is with an ultrasound
hey can u share me the details of doctor if he/she is on instagram or whatsapp no. because my vet is also saying that she is not having pyometra but actually after his treatment of fever she is suddenly discharging excessive fluid
This has been my problem, i had a female shih tzu
that was spayed last february 2019 because of closed pyometra, biopsy was done, gladly it was benign. Few months after, she acquired several illnesses, ivdd, uti, heart and liver disease. I did some research, I read that those are the side effects of dogs that were spayed due to hormonal imbalance because uterus was removed. She died last september 20202 because of those diseases. Now, I am so confused and afraid beecause I still have a 10 yr old intact female shih tzu. Please help..I am afraid of those side effects
My 7 year old girl went through this last year. In late April 2020 I took her to the vet because she stopped eating and they told me she had pyometra and would need a 5500.00 surgery immediately. I didn’t have it. Covid had just shut everything down and I had no income. My dog was sick, not eating and drinking excessively. I saw no discharge and she was constantly licking herself. The vet never told me if it was open or closed. I found this youtube and I mixed that honey that sounds like manuka I think with vitamin C and turmeric with peanut butter into balls and gave her 1 three times a day. It took me a month to come up with the money. This concoction kept my girl alive and she started eating and acting almost normal. She had the surgery in June of 2020. Thank you for sharing this information. You are a God send.
Hi Dr. Can cats have all the supplements that you listed? What is the best mode of delivery for a open cervix with pyometra?
@hsmathis CIAO, MI DISPIACE TANTO! UN FORTE ABBRACCIO DALL’ITALIA A TE!
Great tip, as always! So two weeks ago I came home to find out that my dog was discharging copious amounts of black blood. Did a quick google search of her symptoms (I know not the best option, but search can be useful if you don’t panic, search on creditable sources and use discernment) and one of the first links that showed up was this video. Being a subscriber of yours, for a few years now, I was immediately relieved after watching it. I always have turmeric and raw honey at home, didn’t have the rest but I have my own rosemary tincture (natural antiinflammatory) so I had a few drops to the mixture. I’ve been given it to my dog two to three times a day, as recommended, and three days later the discharge of black blood was completely gone (only a few pinkish spots sporadically, for a few days after). She’s doing much better now and is crazy for the concoction, but my other dog gets all sad because she can’t get any 🤣
Hi Doc thank you so much for the info. Things were feeling hopeless until now. New area, new vets and not a lot of help, so you are very much appreciated. I followed the link for the Yun Nan Pai Yao and found the study, but not a link to purchase. I’m sure it might be a hard find right now, but I did find some and just wanted to let you know. Thank you again and Pippi is adorable. What a sweetie!
I’m so sorry 😞
Hi Dr! Thank you for your tips! Just wondering, do you give all these remedies all at once or we can we just choose from one of the remedies you have suggested?
Hi! I just bought the yunan paiyao online at a Walmart store!
@Kylie I didn’t, I know my dog’s behaviour well enough, there was no need for it. The bleeding had stopped, she was back in her normal self, eating, peeing and pooping ok, playful and reactive. I was 100% sure she was ok. But if I wasn’t sure, I would definitely check it out with the vet.
How old her when she have pyometra??
THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH FOR THIS CHANNEL. I JUST ❤️ IT! My 14 yr old Shiba Inu contracted Pyometra. She was running around last week and playing w the cat. I noticed this Thursday night that there was a pus type discharge. I was lucky to get her in to a vet on Friday during a snowstorm, wherein most vets were closed. Because the banks were also closed on Friday due to the inclement weather: the vet refused to do her surgery. Luckily I had enough $$ on me to pay for the visit, diagnostics and antibiotics. The vet sent her home to die, with only a slim chance that the antibiotics would help before her system began shutting down. THIS IS A RAPIDLY ACTING SICKNESS. By morning, she could barely get to her water dish and wee-wee pads. She used her last bit of strength to hobble up to me & collapsed in the crook of my knee where she remained — unmoving. Luckily, the local animal shelter (where I have been involved saving feral cats/kittens) returned my voicemail that I left them after returning from the vet the day before. They urged me to take her in to them immediately. They did the surgery without charging me one single penny to my amazement. I planned on withdrawing money from my savings, but could not access the money until Monday. I thought that was a big enough problem in itself. Little Fox is home with me now. She refused liquids and it was the first time that I had to force her pills down her throat (gabapentin & the antibiotic). I wrapped them in cheese. She can only walk a few steps and was incontinent as she tried so hard to get to her wee-wee pads. She’s asleep next to me and has not moved. I’m keeping her as still as possible and giving her lots of TLC. I’m writing about this to let your viewers know how quickly this sickness can lead to a certain death if not treated immediately. Also, I want your audience to be sure to check with their local animal shelters that do spay/neuter clinics. Don’t rule them out because if money is the problem they may work with you and can sometimes offer a reduced rate. I wish we had a vet like YOU in my area, but we don’t. I just thank God for the little miracles that happened so far in so much adversity. I even had to hire transportation to and from these visits. One question: tomorrow is Sunday, the evening will make it 3 full days since I noticed symptoms. How long can Little Fox go before needing IV fluids if she does not begin drinking again tomorrow? She had fluids during her surgery. I hope she will be able to stand on her feet more tomorrow, but it looks like she is not on her way out of the woods yet. Any suggestions?
Wow! That’s amazing! Good for you both! My dog just contracted it, and the only vet open during yesterday’s snowstorm refused to do her surgery bc I could not withdraw the cash from my savings bc the banks were also closed during the inclement weather. She sent my pet home with antibiotics. The local spay/neuter clinic did the surgery today and did not charge me a penny! It sounds like your dog’s uterus was closed. My dog had a whole lot of pus-related discharge, so I put warm compresses on her, but when the vet checked her, the vet said it was closed, but by even there was quite a bit of discharge again. I guess the uterus can both open and close, but you would definitely know on your end bc the discharge was very smelly.
I’m sending you deepest sympathy from Massachusetts. ❤️ How sad. I am praying that my 14 yr old will recover from her surgery today.
Wow! Thank you for sharing.
Yes- main thing now is getting fluids into her- IV or Subcutaneous, and back to the vet ASAP
Where do I purchase it at
@Leila João makeup & arts what happened? Did you have a follow up check up?
@Jajaja Jajaja No, there was no need. She was eating and drinking well, on her regular necessities schedule, playful and reacting normally. Actually she was starting to get it again last week and I immediately start giving this mixture again and she’s already much better ☺️
Your dog passed away because it got spayed?
@Alex & Lena Velez did your dog ever get surgery?
@Leila João makeup & arts but the fact that it keeps coming back means she’s not okay lol
I’m sorry you had to go through this. It is always hard to love them so much and see them in pain.
She’s in a better happier place now.
That is amazing so glad this helped you
Tamara Rutland-Mills they didn’t charge you anything ?
