Very good point. When I was young we ate collards every Sunday and Wednesday for dinner. I have started eating collards again weekly after 10 years plus avoiding them.
@SovereignBeing Fortunately, I have no issues with my thyroid. But generally the diet and processed foods are filled with Sugar and salts. In order to have a balanced diet along with fiber, green leafy vegetables must be a part of your weekly meal plan not necessarily daily but at least 3 – 4 times per week. This was the norm when I was younger and it was rare for children or anyone for the matter to take otc laxatives. Those with bowel problems ate more starchy foods and sugars.
@SovereignBeing Mustard Greens, no way. Give collard greens a try. Collard greens are not bitter and you can even saute them instead of drowning them the old fashion way where some people cook them to death where the nutrient value is depleted to the nth degree. Ha ha. Give collards a try.
is grapefruit good to eat for the bitterness?
Does not having a gallblader affect how you need to go about detoxing your liver?
Great info, thank you!
After eating ,comes up again and again
Thank you. I am wondering about fasting, does the liver dump more of its contents during a fast?
I am suffering from a strange problem that no doctor I have met understands because most doctors in my area do not study medicinal plants. This reminds me how we have a broken and corrupt medical system where medicinal plants are ignored because you can’t patent them.
It seems that I have improperly mixed some medicinal plants and they are apparently causing panic attacks and crippling anxiety that must be treated with a benzodiazepine. It is a pretty scary disease and makes me want to learn more about these things and also warn people not to mix them the way I have.
It seems the problem comes from MAOI containing plant, (Kava) with plants that contain certain amines(Yerba mate/ kratom).
About 2 years ago I took and L-tetrahydropalmatine extract for anxiety and mistakenly mixed it with kanna and ashwagandha which have MOAI-B and A properties I have heard. This gave me a very miserable and dreadful experience where I could not even leave my room or communicate for some time and the only thing that helped was benzodiazepine drugs. I then read later that you should not mix those substances.
After 6 months the panic attacks completely stopped. I wonder if I could have detoxed my liver and sped up the process.
You didn’t mention activated charcoal. Can you tell me, does that help? I know they give this for alcohol poisoning and for certain poisonous mushrooms but I’m not sure about other stuff.
Thanks for this great video! In Ayurveda, the liver problems are treated successfully. Planet Ayurveda offers Yakrit Plihantak Churna which is very effective in the treatment of all types of liver disorders.
Question:so they say in moderation means no more than 3 servings a week aka 15 Fl oz. I instead of having 3 full glasses I have 3 fl oz 5 days so in the end having it more frequently but still within the moderate weekly intake is that ok?
Same thing happened to me when I was younger. I know it sucks but in time it will go away. The best thing is to just face all the things that give you anxiety head on until it doesn’t bother you anymore. Sometimes though only time can heal it.
have you heard of L-theanine?
For the past 20 years, I’ve been teaching people how to heal their body naturally. I’ve even been on the Dr. Oz show 5 times and I must say this is an excellent video. I agree 100% with the message you’re trying to get across to your viewers. Kudos!

Does this help with gilbert syndrome?
best one is to do fasting…give liver and whole body time to rest for a day or some days. Drink only water and according to recent medical research, 72 hour water fast will regenerate the entire immune system.
and slow your metabolism
Simple and straight forward.
Thank you for taking the time to help people.
God bless you
I have no Gallbladder, therefore, what now? Does my Bile pass through my intestines anyway? Thank you.
Thanks for Info
It is always mentioned to some doctor vloggers.
I make kefir at home with grains but realize that they produce alcohol, especially if I use raw sugar (which contains molasses). I have a very low tolerance for alcohol and hate its effect. Is the relatively small amount of alcohol in kefir sufficient to have an adverse effect on the liver if consumed daily?
Wow what a good explanation 🤦♀️
What about turmeric, does it help to detoxify your liver?
