This does kill ants who go through it and the ants will leave the hill and go elsewhere. Also, for other pests, put lemon and/or orange peels in your garden. They hate it and are repelled. To get ants out of your house, put a dish of honey outside your door. They’ll leave the house for the dish, then move it further away and line your house with corn starch.
I have a potted muscadine grape. I was gonna put it in a bigger pot but when I moved it thousands of ant stated coming out. My plant still look healthy. Do you think any of these methods would kill my plant? Or which would be the best?

The best way to get rid of ants is to feed them! Get an empty water or plastic bottle. Punch a hole in the side big enough to allow the ants in. Put 4 table spoons of Minute Rice or equal (uncooked) in the bottle. Cap it and lay it hole down near where there are ants. You will be feeding them for a few days, then they will disappear and be gone! Guaranteed to work.
I used 2:1, but instead of Borax, I used Arm & Hammer Baking Soda. The numbers decreased, but I was only able to really exterminate them after surrounding the infected Olive tree pot with water, removing the fungus from the tree and wiping clean with vinegar the all ants‘ trails, a lot of time and work invested, still always better than poison.
PS: Neem oil doesn’t work on ants :-/
