Let me get this straight as someone who is an actual furry:
A fursuit is more than jsut fur and foam.
its a work of art created by you or someone else that took the time to perfect your character.
its a way to be someone else and get away from things that are happening in your life and to cope with crappy stuff.
when pre-schoolers play animals,
we just never grew out of that.
its not an addiction
putting on our mask makes us happy, and its not something we need to go to therapy for.

This isn’t a obsession, I am a furry myself, it’s just a hobby. Like she said “the suit makes me outgoing.“ maybe people feel more comfortable in suits like more safe. At least she doesnt drink gas, eats her husband’s own ashes. Just let her wear the suit.

Okay, I’m gonna say it: being a furry isn’t inherently an obsession, but for Lauren it is. Her life (getting a job, having normal social interactions, building family bonds, having a healthy sleep schedule, etc.) is heavily impacted by a habit she uses to cope with loss instead of confronting her emotions. That is definitionally an obsession.

@Lycanroc I’m 15 and to be honest I think it would be cool to meet a furry. I myself am not a furry but, it I think it would be nice to get a hug from one, I bet most furies are nice, besides, I always wanted to meet a cosplayer.
