In before the new pieces are super brittle and don’t work properly with the bricks that have been made between 1958 – 2018.
Wow I really want some of the new Brickheadz.
I think it’s good that Lego goes green.
I’m pretty sure the “Kessel run adventure” part of the calendar is just signifying the release of the SOLO sets!
So long as lego is quality testing new materials, they ought to have more of a go at their brown elements. Those parts break like crazy!
PLA has proven its stability vs ABS in 3d Printing so is likely to be the material of choice or a PLA hybrid.
Have they solved the strength limit that the current bricks have hit yet?
The sustainable parts break… A lot
As long as the new bricks will be able to fit into the current bricks, I think it will work out ok. Just hoping that there won’t be any coloring differences between (for example) classic red on the new bricks, and classic red on the current ones.
If the quality and color of Lego bricks doesn’t change, this change will be fine, but if the quality of Lego bricks get worse with this change, this is dumb.
jx592 do u have one
Back to the future brick heads? TAKE MY MONEY!!!
I wouldn’t be surprised if the figure that comes with the factory set is based on the set designer himself
SW EP1 C3PO: Transparent base, printed.
I don’t think they would go with a standard droid body, haha 🙂
vader pod never was available, it was canceled, so it will finally be available for the very first time.
I think they chose botanical elements because they have a mat Finnish and the normal bricks are glossy
As long as the bee green parts feel the same and is good quality I’m fine with it being in plant pieces. But idk about it for any other pieces.
Interesting… as long as they look and fit the old bricks… it’s a good idea
wouldn’t the plant pieces degrade over time if they use organic materials
AWM LEGO films hello!
Hello, it is me
jx592 how do you know do you have one
Hey! @Reliable Shock Dude 🙂
It is ya boi, Smibb, what is up
as long as the bio bricks are just as durable as the ABS bricks it should be fine.
+CabinDoor That’s a point: If these pieces are slowly phased in, then the green pieces could degrade more than the surrounding parts and ruin a set! ABS plastic is made to last, and I’m skeptical about what this plant will do to the bricks.
I think it’s great Lego is doing this! I mean… the world will probably be polluted and a horrible to live on within the next decade, so if we change now I think we have a better chance of living! I just hope they don’t discolour or degrade, but I think it may help minifig torsos from cracking if they do this technique to minifigures! 😀
Interesting like the ideas for the bricks and excited for the tree as going on an inside tour and OMG Brickhead Stormtrooper and creeper sound ace
I like the going green although they don’t need to look much further than their packaging with all the plastic bags that just get thrown away.
Yup – and what’s ‘sustainable’ about using food crops to make bricks? Forests are being cut down to make room for these plantations – so they destroy the natural environment and push up the price of farmland and food. Better to make bricks from a substance mined from deep under the earth which no other living creature needs. That’s more ‘green’ than cutting down a forest to make bricks.
