I made use of to make a ton of curry before venturing onto a ketogenic diet regimen, but I had to find a way to get rid of some of the ingredients. No flour to make a roux, no mango chutney for the fruitiness and flavor, no milk … hmm, it was a difficult one– but I assume I got it exercised!
Though it does take some time to enlarge up (thanks Xanthan Periodontal for speeding that up!) it's well worth the delay. This scrumptious keto curry will certainly fill your residence with the smell of the aromatic spices. Food preparation much longer without the cover is generally what I do– I am not the most significant fan of curry soup, I like my curry to be hearty, and loaded with appearance.
Now, this isn't a traditional Indian or Thai curry, but it looks like right stuff that I obtained as a kid living in England. Every chip shop has curry sauce, and this is similar to that. Very abundant, thick, and also clearly distinct.
I understand there's a great deal of flavors in this recipe. Yet trust me– every one plays its part. Whether it's bringing a sense of fruitiness, seasoning, mouthwatering, or including a boost in flavor– every element is needed. The only few that you can get away with omitting are cardamom and also coriander. They both include flower notes, but if you do not have them on hand, do not worry way too much regarding going out to acquire a jar.
KEEP IN MIND: If you choose for your shrimp to be tender and also fresher, add the shrimp in concerning 5-10 minutes before serving. Many people would certainly consider the shrimp overcooked in this curry however I tend to like them by doing this as this is the means my daddy made this curry considering that I was a youngster.

Thank you so much, as always 😁
This looks fabulous & easy – thanks for another great recipe! One thing – as I’ve commented before – your music almost ruins the video. Almost turned video off in first few seconds. Too intense, very suspenseful. Music can set the “tone” for the whole recipe & this music comes across as negative, almost scary.
Your recipes are fantastic!
I read your email versions & watch on YT. A change in the music would absolutely help with your “marketing.” Just my opinion – thanks for what you do!
Thank you for the kind words! In almost every video I post there’s 1 person that says they hate the music and 1 person that says they love the music. It’s very difficult to find something everyone loves as music is so subjective (and we’re somewhat limited to what’s available due to copyright laws).
“Many people would consider the shrimp overcooked in this curry but I tend to prefer them that way as this is the way my dad made this curry since I was a kid” … I’m glad you said this because it was exactly what I was thinking with the cook time. 🙂
I knew it would come up so I thought I’d address it right away. Just something about the nostalgia for me, but I can understand everyone wanting to add the shrimp in at the last 5-10 minutes for better texture/flavor 😅
You know you love to cook when you devote a whole kitchen cabinet, not just a shelf, to herbs and spices. I have every ingredient listed LOL so will be making this after Thanksgiving.
Haha, I know that feeling all to well. I really hope that you enjoy it!
Whoaaaaaaa 😃 that looks awesome!! And all of those spices are gonna tantalize my tastebuds. Have to say, bravo to the music, the cookware, the pace of the video was really enjoyable, relaxing. Bravo 👏🏻 Definitely have to make this Keto-Curry asap.
Thank you so much! I’d love to know what you think when you get a chance to make it 😄
omg… I can smell it already!

Yum!
I don’t know why I chose to make this rather involved recipe on a weeknight, but that’s exactly what I did! I made it last night and we ate really late! I thought it was good but a little too spicy. But I had a hunch that it would be better the next day—I was completely right! Absolutely delicious! It mellowed out overnight and the flavors came together really well. Also, was so great to come home and do nothing but warm it on the stove tonight! We ate it like soup—the broth is killer.
Can you sub the coconut milk with almond?
Yes, since we are using carton coconut milk you can sub it with almond milk instead. I hope you enjoy it!
@RuledMe thank you for the quick reply. Also, I want to know when you add the coconut flour? I don’t see it in the video or when you add it. I watched a few times lol.
