I get scabs on my scalp; it’s really itchy and I have a habit of peeling my skin off. Whoever I run my hands through my hair there is a shower of dandruff on my shirt. What should I do? I also have eczema.
Hi there, we recommend you to consult a Trichologist soon. – Team Glamrs
Is it common to see dandruff falling out more after regular use of hair masks?
Hi Sinnu, it’s not common! Try squeezing lemon juice into hair masks. -Team Glamrs

Hey there! so happy to hear your feedback! – Team Glamrs
My scalp has been getting itchy since the rainy season started. One thing I do to control it is a weekly vinegar wash. I just mixed in two caps vinegar in a big mug of water, placed a bucket below and kept rinsing the scalp with this water till it was soaked thoroughly all over. Left it for 10- 15 min and washed off. It doesn’t leave behind any smell so its safe to do after shampoo and it works as a conditioner too. It leaves my hair shiny. I think ACV works best but normal plain vinegar is good too. ❤️
Here are some things I did to combat the above problems:
1. Wash hair 2-3 times a week. Schedule it.
2. Do vinegar wash 1-2 times a week. Just dilute 1-2 caps of vinegar in a jug of water and place a container below. Keep rinsing with this water till every corner of scalp is covered. Leave on for 10-15 min. Rinse. No need to shampoo after.
3. Do hair spa once a week. Especially scalp scrub. You can use the one from MCaffeine or make a diy one. And Hair masking is essential too.
4. Look out for foods that aggravate the situation. Especially oily food.
5. Before you start combing hair, take couple drops of a light and non-sticky oil and rub it in the lengths of your hair.
6. When combing hair, twist all the hair from head to ends and then start detangling from ends towards roots. The twisted hair will prevent it from tugging on your scalp and reduce breakage.
7. Skincare is a very personal thing and what works for me might not work for you. For shampoo, you can experiment a bit till you find an ideal one. Even a dermatologist may require couple of tries before they can select the ideal one for you. Alternatively, you can choose a mild shampoo, add some drops of tea tree oil and wash as usual. Massage the shampoo in your scalp for a minute or two before washing off. Don’t use too much shampoo as it’ll dry your hair. Don’t wash too frequently as that’ll dry your hair too and your scalp will be flaky and you’ll wash again and fall in an endless loop.
8. Don’t leave the oil in scalp for too long as it can act as a dust magnet. Leave it overnight or a couple hours before wash. You can wrap a warm towel to help seep oil better. Don’t use too much oil when oiling, use enough to cover the scalp and the use comb to spread oil to hair length.
9. Do regular oil massage. It’ll improve blood circulation and improve scalp health.
10. Change pillow covers frequently and don’t share your pillow if possible.
11. Tie your hair before bed in a loose braid. It shouldn’t be loose to get tangled and not so tight that it tugs on scalp.
12. Use good quality, soft pillow covers.
13. scalp scrub, hair mask, oiling, head massage, hair spa etc all these can be learnt from glamrs videos
@Glamrs yep, I diluted about 2tbsp ACV in a mug of water
Hello , thanks for your videos, I found those are very useful. However I have a very serious itchy scalp problem for which neither I found any solution anywhere and nor even any discussion on it. Let me say, it’s for my job purpose, due to my work-pressure many times I have to go with very much less amount of sleep a day, associated with my stress and sometimes tension as well. Now whenever I go with less amount of sleep than usual, I found , every time, some very sticky liquid has been accumulated at the base of my hair around some small area of my scalp and it’s at the deepest inside the skin-layers of my scalp, causes extreme itching, so that, while I have been working, many times my hand consciously/ unconsciously go to my head , pulls out hairs from that particular portion of the scalp, whose bases already become very loose because of significant accumulation of that liquid, so that those hairs come out very easily, and this gives me some relief when significant amount of that sticky liquid, come out from the innermost skin-layer of my scalp, along with the base of my pulled out hair but at the same time itching spreads to another nearby portion of scalp and the same process goes on till I fell asleeped…but starts again when I again need to sacrifice my sleep for doing hardwork! A few times , this itching become so severe, I started to peel of the skin of my scalp, when a significant amount of sticky liquid comes out, make the outermost skin-layer of my scalp of that portion, completely wet! I consulted many Dermatologists time to time, who prescribed me antifungal lotion and shampoo, also the lotion and shampoo to tighten the base of hair, tablets, and also medicines of Trichotillomania as they suspected sometime… however nothing helped..and this very serious problem keep occuring.. delaying down my work seriously and also causing significant amount of hair loss! Can you kindly tell me, what exactly this sticky liquid is, what is its origin, and is there any temporary/permanent cure for it when I surrender I can no way avoid my stress and less-sleeping, since thatswhat my job is, I am just bound to do hardwork, many times sacrificing my sleep! Kindly tell me some solution , if feasible. Thanks for your valuable time. Thanking you in anticipation.
Hey there! We went through your comment and we recommend you seek guidance from a Trichologist who would help you better! – Team Glamrs
@Glamrs Thanks for your valuable guidance
When I start to sweat or my head start to get too warm my scalp get extremely itchy. I use tea tree oil hydrating and coconut oil conditioner curls both by ogx but I only use those like once a week cause I don’t shower too often. I’ve heard one thing that may help is on other videos people only use water to wash their hair and not shampoo or conditioner but they’re are products that don’t have harmful chemicals in them like silicone was one I remembered. Could you maybe help me out??

But does this ACV or vinegar makes your hair turn grey?
@REENA GOWDA L G 1-2 cap vinegar in a mug of water. Never use vinegar directly on skin or hair without diluting.
