Whatever you do, never pick up your hair into a pile and rub it around on the top of your head. You are just asking for tangles.
Apply shampoo to your hands and rub them together. Use your hands and fingertips to apply shampoo to your scalp and hair. Use your fingertips to massage your scalp, loosening the dead skin cells and lifting dirt and oils. Ad a little water and pull the foam through your hair. No need to rub your hair at all. It’s not a piece of cloth that holds dirt in its fibers. Rinse straight. Less tangles less damage. This shampoo is great, just don’t wash like they are showing. You don’t need that much foam either. I use a color applicator bottle to apply shampoo with a bit of water directly to my scalp. Less waste, more even distribution.
I have this and use it about once a month. I love it.
