I took pain killers and it’s still been hurting for hours

I’m one of those girls who gets there periods for like 2-3 days with medium flows but in return of getting short periods, I get the worst cramps. I’d rather have my period for 3-5 days with small cramps and a mildly heavy flow.

Pain killers don’t work for me idek why 😑

@Haley Gagné I woke up my mom because I had a huge migraine and I threw up, like I haven’t had a headache in while but it came back because before I’d usually have a little migraine at night from the first day of my period 😭

That used to be me! Periods would last 3-4 days, no cramping. Diet really plays a role in cramping. I used to have a healthy diet now I eat like crap and period lasts 7 days and it’s painful af 🥺

Tbh its kinda embarrassing, but Im trans (ftm) and cramps are so freaking annoying. But what I find helps me the most is actually breathing exercises. When cramps start, I take deep breaths until the pain dies down. It helps me with not only the pain itself, but it actually comforts me and also reminds me that I’ll be okay. I hope that helps lol

Even scientists have said they don’t know why periods need to exist when it would make more sense for the ureters to remain full of blood the whole life of the woman then shedding blood every month, imagine in the wild that blood loss would help predators find you, and loosing blood can’t be good , you’ll be low on iron

As a teenage boy I feel deeply sorry that you have to go through this seemingly excruciatingly painful process once a week, ya’ll are really strong 💪. Everytime a friend of mine gets period I try to be as supportive as I can, I even provide pain killers if needed like oki or stuff like that, even if I’ll never be able to understand what does it feel like, I’ll just do my best to support ya’ll queens.

@kvsmo just use ginger root, apple cider vinegar, green tea, and organic fennel seeds. It’s in my video. I would prefer if you watched it for the support but still. Wanted to share because all periods are, inflammation. You need to find anti-inflammatory properties and that is it. Good luck. Hope it helps.

I know this comment is old and i don’t have it as bad as you guys but I do swim and have no cramps and now i am swimming twice a day 4 days a week and i am now getting cramps verryyyy bad

I was literally so excited and eager to get my period and now I’m laying here feeling like I’m about to throw up

25+ years of getting my period, this only works for people with mild cramps. For those that have excruciating pain that has you alternating from fetus position to the toilet constantly and dont want to be on OTC medications or birth control, found the following helps. I call it my Trifecta: 1. Fenugreek pills/seeds (a natural ingredient, is used to help women lactate / makes the boobs swell lol but also relieves severe cramps.. and also makes you smell like maple syrup. I take it the day before my period so by the time my period comes it’s barely there/ non existent, and continue until the day I usually expect mr cramps to stop. 2) CBD: I use this if I forgot to take fenugreek prior and/or need extra pain relief 3) TENS/EMS machine: game changer! If you dont do the CBD/fenugreek, this is great option. Only downside is when you turn it off the cramps come back, so I use this in conjunction with the fenugreek pills and give myself a back massage while my pelvic area is hooked up as well. TENs works the nerves (tricks your body you dont have cramps), EMS works the muscles.
