Really good interview. Good job of letting Dave make his point and then asking an appropriate follow up question to prompt Dave to start going again. Really well done!
Happy you enjoyed Stanley… thank you!
No matter what you think of this man, there is always room for a new book on fasting. David has helped to change my life forever! I practice Intermittent fasting every day and I have shed over 70 lbs of fat and I have about 40 lbs left. I do drink a keto/butter/fat coffee every day for the past five years!🤠
P.S. I started a YouTube channel to be a friend to everyone that I can!🤠
Hunger is almost never ever experienced, but cravings are real. Fasting without suffering is real. I have experienced this over the past five years.🤠
Dave is an incredible, natural speaker, you can tell his heart is truly in this.
I finally did a 37 hour fast and dropped 5lbs. Went from 392lbs to 387lbs and am doing intermittent fasting in between prolonged fasts. Next Sunday I’m starting a 48 fast and with God’s help Im finally going to get my health back this year.
Well said. Many podcasters are too busy interjecting. You have a guest for a reason. We might want to learn from them. Fantastic job.
I really appreciate your honest experiences with Keto and fasting. Love your books. I’m On fasting right now (32 hrs +). I started keto, learning fasting 1/1/21. and love bulletproof coffee. I am a 71 y.o. Female. Lost 14# and still learning. Couldn’t do it without people like you.
That is the most powerful feeling I’ve ever had! To not need food. It’s OK. Love it
As a post menopausal woman trying to lose weight through Intermittent Fasting, working out doing HIIT, cardio, etc…..I have learned so much from his research on women. I was over training, hair thinning, hair loss, cold all of the time, not losing weight or inches. All I did was stop working out intensely, started doing yoga, stopped fasting 20/4 most days of the week, and my body started changing, and still is. I have not weighed myself because it messes with my mind horribly. Havent measured myself because it’s all numbers. I feel better, my clothes are fitting better, my hair is no longer falling out. It’s been mind blowing. I listened to another interview about a month ago and I am finally seeing results. What he days works. I dont use bulletproof coffee but I sometimes add butter to my coffee. It helps on my 24hr fasts. I do a 24hr fast once a week. I cant do any longer or my sleep gets really messed up.
What is 1/1/21 ?
Fan-freaking-tastic information. Thank you
BUT..
The biggest thanks goes to the host of this show who just allowed Dave to speak without interrupting. I’ll be a repeat viewer because of your lovely interview style.
I totally agree! ❤️
The host (and his guest) is amazing! The ability to let his guest explain and educate nearly uninterrupted is something to behold! Just subscribed!
Thanks for the love and welcome to the channel 🙂
Do you fast? If so, what is your fasting protocol? Type, duration, etc.
I started healthy keto almost three months ago. Lost 10lbs the first month and nothing since! I bought his book while I was listening to this interview. I’ve been desperate to figure out what is wrong. So much of what he mentioned has been true for me. I’m going to switch up my mornings to C8MCT coffee as a start and go from there. His deep dive into gut health resonates too. So important.
Thanks for watching and all the best on your health journey! 🙂
Love this interview. So informative! Great interviewer, didn’t interrupt! Asked and summarized so well. Subscribing to this channel. 😊👌
Thanks Page! Hope you continue to enjoy 💙

@Daniel Pan I think it’s the date she started (Jan. 1, 2021)
Right now I’m not eating on Monday,Wednesday and Friday and intermittent on the other days,I’ve been on the Ketogenic way of eating for 21& months lost 150 pounds,90 to go hundreds of inches, and I can walk again no arthritis pain, full of energy and I am 61 years old
Interviewer did a great job letting the guest talk, and asking relevant , well timed, questions.
Thank you!!
I fasted for a total of at least 72 hours per week for six months. I was a size 14 in the beginning, now I’m a size 6. Apparently I did something right.
How do I buy your pre biotic fibre and the mct oil you mentioned and what is your book called how do I order it is the bullet proof coffee Just coffee butter and MCT oil
same here
This guest is a great storyteller with a great rhythm and cadence that doesn’t need a lot of prompting to cover the main points.
Totally agree with you✨
I agree.. Tried OMAD couple of weeks ago then decided to skip a meal and go another 24 hrs. Kept pushing it and did 96 hrs in the end, still can’t believe I managed it, it’s the first time I have EVER felt in control of what I put in my mouth!!! I’m back on OMAD now but looking forward to the next extended fast . I lost a some too incidentally but this is overshadowed by the sense of finally having control.
Do you use Kerry gold butter?
I heard someone say eat to live not live to eat. The best thing Ive ever heard. Ive found that unless Im stress eating I actually require less food. As I get older Im not hungry all the time which is great because I dont have the metabolism of a teenaged athelete anymore lol.
@Frank Faz Great, you will.get there. Fall down, get back up. 👏🏼
Were the 72 hours consecutive?
Congrats!!!
Not eating Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays and 24/4 the other days is my sweet spot for weight loss too. 35 pounds
keep it up brotha
@8181 red lol. No. She spread a 72 hour fast thru a two year period. Duh.
Tina that’s so awesome!
And you just know that his biohacking has made him more concise and clear minded.. and clear hearted!
@Suzan Vg You are welcom. Glad to be able to help/encourage you.
I agree, this journey of life is about way more than fasting.
You can go to far….!!!!
Update?
@Mailman Phil aka The GoGo Crank Station Been going strong since the beginning of the year. Im down to 333lbs and should be in the low 320s by the end of February. My goal is to be under 300s by May.
@Frank Faz 🔥🔥🔥🔥 Fantastic. I’m doing the OMAD now for weight loss and for this autophagy/anti aging. Seems like a no brainer to try. I’m excited. Keep it up
I fast – MWF for 36 hours each day. I fast from everything but water. I do occasional 3 day fast and currently am on day 4 of what will hopefully be a 7 day fast.
3 days a week @ 24 hours fast
16/8. I eat between 12 pm – 8 pm. 12 noon is my first meal and between 6-8 dinner.
Yes!!! Finally
@Suzan Vg the same for me I have fasted 24-27-48 hrs & no weight loss I have tried Beef Bacon & butter for a week no loss it seems nothing I try helps I know I’m insulin resistance but come on give me a break if I could just lose 1 or 2 lb give me incentive when I first started Keto I lost 35 lb I’m sure most of that was inflammation after that nothing
YES!
@Pam Acosta how much overweight you are
Your case is literally like my friend’s. She had those symptoms. For some people intermitent is the only way. Prolonged fasting may never be suitable due to their condition. She has a slow thyroid.
@TimothyBowman Black coffee reduces your appetite, doesn’t it?
Now you’re a skeleton congrats
Awesome! Hope for me! So proud of you!!
I am doing another long fast. First time I did was almost 40 days. But no electrolyte etc. Was rough. Today on my second attempt of water fast trying to beat my goal 40-60 days I’m on day 3 now first time taking electrolyte with started today adding activated charcoal along with potassium and magnesium supplements. So far so good.
I ended up going into a cycle of eating bad foods constantly ended up gaining 30 lbs. Felt gross horrible had to cut myself off. Too much sugar. Hense why I am doing this fast to reset my body overcome food addiction. . No craving so far I can’t wait what this journey leads me too. 🙏🙏
You are incredible
Thanks so much for this episode! I started my keto journey back in November 2019 and implemented bulletproof fasting (BPC for breakfast while 16/8 fasting) and keto. By June 2020, I lost 46lbs without incorporating any exercise. Unfortunately, things started to change in my life and I went off of strict keto and did more of a relaxed low carb diet, still incorporating some keto principles. Since June 2020, I have gained back around 20lbs and have tried to get back on keto and start exercising but no luck has come with weight loss. After trying back keto so many times, I am now wondering if keto just doesn’t work for me anymore. Any thought on where to go from here?
One ‘trick’ that helped me when I first tried fasting was doing a mental reframing. When I saw food somewhere, instead of feeling, “That looks good I want to eat it,” I reframed it into something like, “That pizza (or whatever) is just another object like a pencil, or car tire, or chair, etc.” That reframing allowed me to not have to use willpower to resist. Nobody has to use willpower to resist eating a car tire.
My fasting duration is usually 18-20 hours, once a week. But sometimes I do 16 hours, and I have been experimenting with 3-4 times a week fasting to see if it works better.
I have no idea what @Yvette is saying here. I wish I did.
I did 82 hours water fasting, but I only drink water with salt after sunset until midnight or so. Lost 8 lbs, but most of it water. But earlier, I was fasting 16+ hours dry fasting skipping breakfast until 16+ hours reached.
I’m still skipping breakfast and sometimes I fast for 24 hrs to 36 hrs. No fat to lose anymore other than little skin on my stomach over my abs. Cold shower and push ups twice daily before cold shower.
No more sodas and donuts, but I get to enjoy some sweet tea in the 8 hrs window and once in awhile, I eat cake. Easy to burn when you fast. Metabolism burns my calories. I’m 51 with no eye bags. My face was round and now muscular with thick neck bc of push ups
The 5:2 lifestyle has been my devoted religion for over 8 years. Then I found dr Mindy Pelz, explaining how women can actually really harm themselves with fasting without taking their hormone cycle into consideration. And then I found Asprey. All in the last 4 weeks. So I am on a new learning curve, very eager to implement it in a way that support my hormones – and energy. 5:2 cured my 6.5 years of CFS in only 3 weeks, so I will never go back to the everyday mindless eating. 🌹
Love intermittent fasting. Do it Monday through Friday and have never felt better!
Hi there great blog! Does running a blog like this require a massive
amount work? I have no understanding of computer programming however I had been hoping to
start my own blog in the near future. Anyhow, should you
have any ideas or tips for new blog owners please share.
I understand this is off topic but I simply wanted to ask.
Thanks a lot!セクシー ランジェリー
