Thank you is there a special product called lemon acid. I’ve never heard of it.
What the heck is lemon acid and can i just use normal malt vinegar?
Sorry) Yes, you may use vinegar, but lemon acid or lemon juice are less aggressive means
It’s easy available in grocery shop..
Moat possible Indian grocery shop…
It’s call lemon flowers
@Mrs. Hackster
Does it test of vinegar when we re use???
Just got a new kettle but when I boil it to make tea or coffee it taste of plastic
Invest in a metal one. Using a plastic kettle will result in plastic particles ending up in ur drink.
@Sathiya Nalini I will soon but for now it’s ok. I got rid of the taste by using bicarbonate of soda.
I’d suggest when rinsing the outside (4:53) you are careful not to let water get near the switch. This area is not sealed and water ingress could prove dangerous later when next used.

Amazing tip…..I had tried so many methods ,including vinegar and cooking soda…but nothing worked….I kept looking for different options on you tube and lo!!! came across your video….tried it with a skeptical mind…as none of the others had worked….
Did exactly how you showed and when I poured out the water in which the citric acid crystals had boiled ..my kettle was as good as new!!! Thank you very much for this amazing tip!!!!
Use citric acid crystals….they are used to bring in a lemony flavour for food and also used to curdle milk to get cottage cheese.
Have you listened to the radio nowadays?
You’re relying on a chemical reaction to clean so saying you’re not using chemical remedies ridiculous.
Thank you for watching and for good words!
So…Good method.I will try it because my ketle is full of calcium salts.And…You cant escaoe chemistry that you said ‘Without Chemistry’.All you are doing is adding acetic&citric acid turning the calcium salts into Calcium Acetate and Calcium Citrate.But,THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR THIS METHOD!I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR A LONG TIME FOR THIS!
Maybe you mean chemicals ? Because every reaction is chemistry .from the food you eat changing form in your body to the air reacting with our body .
Is lemon acid the same as Citric acid that we get here in the UK?
In Australia it’s called citric acid, maybe you can find it under this name?
It’s the same thing as citric acid.
Yes, in Australia we call it Citric acid as well!
@dilemmix Thank you 🙂
Coke a cola works well to descale the inside of a kettle also cleans inside of a toilet bowl too…. 🍪pocket uk.
