My endocrinologist doesnโt seem to care, I have managed to greatly reduce my numbers through diet & exercise. My endocrinologist only recommended more high price insulin
Great information. For exercise with time constraints look into isometrics. Seven to ten minutes a day. Seven to fourteen days you can see benefits. Just using your hands and resistance. No cost and you tube has hundreds of videos to show you how.
My A1C is at 6.3. I can’t afford test strips for daily testing! My doctor gave me a glucose meter with 15 strips. My blood sugar was usually high (125 after fasting). I stopped rice, red meat, limited potatoes (!!!!), and only have a few sips of Coke (for the caffeine headaches) daily. I WAS drinking ONLY Coke . . . ALL DAY!!! I now have the few sips of coke in the am and drink ONLY water!!! With those 15 free test strips, my blood sugar has been as low as 108 AFTER EATING!!!! YAY!! Can’t really do much walking as I had a hip transplant and it’s still healing! I think the change in diet and drinking mostly water all day is working!!! I’ll have A1C checked again in April! Wish me luck!!!! SO GLAD I HAVE NO SWEET TOOTH SO NO SUGARY FOODS AT ALL!
2 words, intermittent fasting people, Iโve been type 2 diabetic since 5 years and now Iโm off meds, my last test was 4.9, lost 25 pounds, and solved many diabetic complications to me, thereโs no harm if you try
This was very informational for me. I’m too having a tough time lowering my blood sugar. I have been exercising, walking and trying to cut carbs. At times I get that munchie-craving and want to snack. But, I have lost some weight. But my blood sugar seems to stay at 200-250. And the bad thing, I think it could be is my Anxiety. I get anxiety and it does play some major role in my blood sugar. I just started insulin the last week of December, but I haven’t seen any changes yet, yes, I’m on medication too. Metformin, Januvia and lisinopril and Atorvastatin.

Leno Denny.
sound like you have a severe B1 deficiency,try taking a fat soluble form called benfotiamine. It crosses the blood brain barrier and protects you from the damages of High blood sugar.A diabetic excrete 25x more than a non diabetic.Take nutritional yeast to keep your B vit in balance.OF course intermittent fasting would help tremendously.
Any kind of exercise can make a difference! I use a cane to get around and nerve pain but I don’t let it stop me from walks and exercise. I still can walk up to 2miles once a week now an take sit breaks from pain then get up and keep going! Pain is mind over matter! An YOU matter.
Dear Leno; im also havinfg a similar situation. try reducing on your carb intake. you could choose to eat multiple meals of smaller quantity. but i think anxiety is playing a role too.
Hi Doc, what causes our cells to reject insulin?
I was very skeptical of this guy but honestly, he delivers the best message Iโve heard in a long time on this topic.
I was just having this very conversation with one of my good friends. I have had diabetes for many years and I know now how to control my highs and lows, but she insist hers is going to go away by itself. If mine ever went up to 350, I would faint. I always get good reports, but I know when to fold it and when to hold it
@Qori No.
@martynblackburn1977 why did you do OMAD? Was it to reduce your blood sugar level?
@G ly No. I did OMAD to lose body fat and because it was convenient not having to worry about food throughout the day.
I am currently 13 years old. I went to the doctors today and they said that if I keep eating foods that have sugar, I have a really high chance of getting diabetes. My dad has them and my mom does not and my mom always warns me not to eat to much sugar and ill try that. Just know by reading this if any of your parents have diabetes and your a child or a grown up thats not 30 or older yet, please start eating healthy and avoid foods that have sugar in them.
Any eady video’s link send me plz
I was 13 at one point. I did excercise (running- occasional short sprint)and LCIF and no medication. A1C went down to 6.7 in 3 months.
Question: Some doctors claim that the real cause of type 2 diabetes is in the gut, citing that after patients have gastric bypass surgery, their diabetes is reversed almost immediately. What are your feelings about the gut/diabetes connection, if there is one?
Thanks much.๐
I just eat protien diet for bf , low carb with portion control for lumch and veggies for dinner . It helps to decrease A1c within 3 months..
Can you make more beta cells? How do you know how many beta cells you have left when you have type 2? Is there a test for that? Thank you, love your videos!
This gives me hope my a1c is 12 ๐ฅด I do have sweets cravings minimal workout but I donโt eat bad foods lots of raw juicing salads fish then boom a cookie the sweets cravings will wake me up middle of the night it controls me itโs so hard I need help
I’m on the boarder line 5.7 so I’ve been running walking an changed my diet so I’m hoping it helps
Look for a new doctor. You’re doing great. I have to do the same – lower my blood sugar. Wasn’t serious. Must be now. I hope to lower it in 3 months. Looking into foods that support pancreas.
@SugarMD what are you selling!!
There is some truth to that i guess.
I had lowered my A1C to about 4.5 but i was still overweight. I had bypass and lost the weight. I do a keto died but had drano some wine over a vacation and immediately my A1c went back up to 6.0 and i gained about 8 lbs. so now, no more alcohol, no medication, and ill continue with keto. We will see what happens.
Also, I’ve known people who had the surgery and continued eating sugar foods and never lost weight.
Your endocrinologist is losing $$$$. That is why practitioners don’t like people taking their health into their own hands. My doctor did the same thing when my fasting sugar was 91. He started screaming about my cholesterol. Jerks who are in it for the $$$ will always lose.
โค๏ธ Dr. E, very very informative video. I need these videos 1 PO BID or at minimal QD. Thank you!
Glad you like them!
I have been in control of my sugar and losing 10 pounds so proud until today I wasn’t feeling well and I checked my sugar and it was 185. I went to urgent care and found that I had an upper respiratory infection. I was given prednisone and when I got home my sugar was 388 I took Berber one and its coming down slow last check it was 267. My question is does an infection make your sugar go crazy because I was like 119 to 130 nearly every day?
Why were you skeptical? Racist much? The advice was very sound and helped me.
Grab some no calorie electrolyte powder packets mix one w 16 oz water drink one or two during a 16-20 he fast.
isn’t there a correlation between high cholesterol and high blood sugar?
@Eagle racist much? Wtf did she say that was racist? Lol maybe youโre the one whoโs guilty of it. Not everything is about race. Many reasons why she could be skeptical
@Saravanan Arnasalam ๐ค What makes u feel proud of yourself? ๐๐
I didn’t find cutting carbs out too difficult. I now eat one meal a day, usually fish and green vegetables. I also follow this with blueberries and heavy cream. My weight has plummeted, and I’m pretty sure I can keep the present diet forever.
Yes, sickness, stress, poor sleep, emotional sickness can alter your blood glucose and also the steroid medication. There is diabetes called drug-induced diabetes, which mainly is because of steroid medications.
@ivi122 amen brother!!
I was a cokeaholic/ so hard to get off of, its so adicting / way off of it now but I still have to have a few sips now and then
@Teresa i been weigth loss , been 3 years but my strength still thre ….can climb 30m up n down for my job done n sometimes skip my breakfast ….its cool ๐

@Helen Garrett You must stand up for yourself and be your own advocate. If your doctor isn’t giving you the best care…RUN and get you another doctor!!
Cut carbs less than 20 and it helps the best
same with me, but I have a lot of trouble not eating sugar, but I think if I donโt eat as many snacks throughout the day, drink a whole lot more water, and exercise more often, I could bring my blood sugar down, and feel much more better in general
@Eagle Projecting much.

LIKE DARK CHOCOLATE AND FRUIT ARE HEALTHY SUGAR CONSUMPTIONS DONE IN MODESTY
I have the problem of not wanting to loose weight but still need to cut carbs and sugar.
How long does it take for carvedilol to clear out of my system and how long does it take before I can hope to possibly see a decrease in blood sugars?
@craig morrow do resistance training/weight lifting. This will build muscle mass, taking the place of the weight that was originally fat. Muscle is much heavier than fat while being much smaller too, so you will stay much slimmer even if you end up weighing more than you do right now.
I wish I could fast but I get so dizzy and sweating and scares me so bad
Saw this comment a bit to late
How much protein do you eat per day?
