My first big fast was 90 hours! I didn’t have any info on fasting then, I just decided not to eat between solstice and Christmas. I didn’t even want to eat afterwards, but did – the wrong way. Now I know so much more about it and the benefits I’m more organized and sensible.
The only problem with the amount of info you provide @Dr Mindy is that I no sooner embark on one protocol than you hit me with another I want to try. I’m already combining the 30 day x 14 hours dry fast with a 4 hour water fast and keto – can I add in the 58 hour one too? That wouldn’t undo anything would it?
I’ve done a 5 day fast. It was a great reset. I then reverted to 48’s + OMAD. Once a month I will do a 72hr fast just to reset the immune system.
People say I look 10yrs younger than I am. They’ve been saying that for the last 10 yrs lol. Fasting definitely works. Especially combined with a strength training program. Helps combats Osteo

I serendipitously found out I have an inherited disease that requires daily intake of warfarin. Thank God I found out!!!🙏 Now trying to figure out how to not eat for 24-58 hrs. and still take meds. Do you have any videos addressing those who are on medications? or maybe the only option is limited fasting like I’m doing now and feeling great😊

I’m currently on day 20 fasting going through Rosh Hashanah = 30 days. Im doing 2 mugs a day of veggie and bone broth, kombucha, water and few supplements. Day 24 my hips did a “reset” that hurt bad but not as bad as last year on my fasting of 14 days. I’ll be starting juicing Friday for 9 days then slow to a keto/juicing lifestyle!

Dr Mindy, for the mitochondria repair, can we take additional supplements like creatine, magnesium, coq10 to boost the processes during the fast? Assuming the coq10 might affect autophagy due to it being an antioxidant.

Just started doing rolling 66 hour fasts to lose my extra 50 pounds. What a timely post. 😃 I am a 48 year old mother of 4 (youngest is 5), and extended fasts are the only thing that takes weight off me. It is frustrating but at least I found something that works, and the added bonus is it’s actually good for me!

Dr. Mindy – I absolutely LOVE your vids, but can I ask: since these fasts DO put some level of stress on the body, HOW does it effect your cortisol levels…because I have had cortisol issues for years that have ADDED to my weight gain, so have been super focused on trying to lower my cortisol/heal my adrenals/LOWER stress in my body, etc. HOW DO WE INCORPORATE THESE FASTS SAFELY TAKING ALL THAT INTO CONSIDERATION? –Thank you so much!!
You are really doing a wonderful job of explaining different kinds of fasts and how they affect us. I also appreciate that you give enough information for free to be able to follow your advice. I am fortunate that I am able to work effectively on my own and don’t need a lot of support – except when I do of course. I’m 78 and OMAD for well over a year, and do a 48 hour once a week – so, putting in a 72 hour once a quarter seems like a good way to integrate this information into my way of eating.
Fat burner reset ! I’ve been doing IF for 6 months now and my hubby and I just finished 8 weeks of a 72 hour fast per week. We’re 64 & 65. I’m in the process of reversing type two diabetes of 23 years and making great progress but still have a ways to go. Thanks for all you share here on your channel.

I am on my 2nd day of Esther fasting and I’m loving it.
I finished my first, intentional, 60 hour water fast last Monday. I’ve been practicing intermittent fasting for about a year now on a ketogenic diet; off and on. Started keto 2 years ago. Two things surprised me. Firstly, my stress and anxiety went down; lots of stressful things in my life right now. Second thing I noticed was reduced incidents for my addictions; specifically alcohol.
I’m 49 years old and I am 14 hours and 15 minutes away from doing a seven day fast, it’s amazing.
