I have less stress in my life now. I followed his suggestions on that as well as nutrition. It’s best to go see your doctor to get blood work to see where you are. We are all different.

First, it’s so easy to listen to Dr. Berg because he has a lovely voice. Second, everything Dr. Berg talks about is true. From Keto to hair growth to anything you need, Dr. Berg is telling you the truth based on science.
One thing that wasn’t mentioned that can also causing thinning hair in women is menopause. Changes in hormones can affect this. I’ve always had thick hair but since menopause I’ve noticed my hair, especially on the top of my head, is thinner than it used to be. I’m wondering if these recommendations might help with post menopausal thinning hair? Not sure though…

@Red Rose I use fermented rice water, apply it for about 30 minutes several times a week, then rinse it out. I have seen a difference after 2 months of treatment – my hair is definitely thicker. Take a cup of white rice and let it soak in 3 cups of distilled water for about 30 minutes – it will be cloudy. Strain the rice out of the water, and let the water sit on the counter in a mason jar overnight, up to 24 hours. It should start to have a bitter smell, that’s when it is starting to ferment. Some people add a few drops of a nice smelling oil like lavender to cover the bitter scent. I transfer the water into a spray bottle and keep it in the refrigerator. But use it regularly, and rinse it out thoroughly.

I just want to thank Dr. Berg for his advice as an expert and professional in self-care. I do have to go a bit into my background for everyone to see why I appreciate Dr. Berg’s advice so much.
Now 46 years old, I struggled with weight problems since 1997 while I was pregnant with my second child. At that time, I was in an extremely “difficult” relationship. I also should add that I had my first child when I was 17 years old, and I did my best to take care of my first child while I struggled to get my high school diploma. Also, I was extremely active throughout my younger years (I loved basketball, volleyball, and track), but I don’t think I was getting the proper nutrients during these times and so, by the time I was in my pre-teen and teenage years, I noticed symptoms of anemia, such as bluish coloring on my nails while in the cold, unusual sensitivity to cold weather, unusual fatigue, etc. I suffer from chronic anemia to this day. Twice so far in my lifetime, I had to undergo blood transfusions because my blood-count dipped to critically low levels, and if I don’t take my FeroSul and vitamin C supplements religiously, my blood count will quickly plummet.
So, you can see that there is A LOT going on with me, and the result is that I have very weak and thinning hair (I’m not even worrying about the graying), and so far, I have not found a way to reverse this process. I’m afraid that there may simply NOT be a way to reverse it at this point.
However, as a person who chooses to think positively and who tries to take advantage of the silver-lining whenever it is available, I thank YouTubers such as Dr. Berg for their content. Kudos!

Since 2019 I started using only the gel from live aloe vera plants, brewed coffee, home made onion water, rice water, bananas, and oils from my kitchen (virgin olive/avocado/grapeseed. About once every 4 to 6 weeks I’ll use one or two Olaplex products. I also drop a multi vitamin, biotin pill or vitamin D into my morning coffee once or twice a week. My previously thinning hair is now shiny, healthy, and has grown from 13.5 inches to almost 21 inches. I only use bottled water and keep everything refrigerated and labeled. When cooking eggs I dump the eggshells into one of my jars in the fridge. Pain in the *ss but worth all of the work.

Informative and well structured. Some of the vitamins/minerals can be hard to find for vegetarians but there should be some source eg Flax seeds are rich in Omega 3. Also including seeds like pumpking, sunflower etc in our morning routine helps hair growth as they contain some key ones talked about in this video. The head inversion technique also greatly helps to get the blood flow to the scalp. I know lot of vegetarians including members in my family who have healthy hair even in 70s. Besides genetics, I’m sure a balanced vegetarian diet would have all required things to maintain overall health including hair.
