Many thanks for seeing the video Impotence & Veterans Special Needs|What Occurs in a Payment and Pension Assessment?
They ask you, “are you still having to take the viagra?” Then they check a box and move on to your other issues.
This is true!
My latest Zoloft and Klonopin pills are definitely impacting me here under this taboo/ type of stigmatized subject. Thanks for the helpful video, Leah.
Those often do sir. I am sorry to hear that. Be brave and talk to your healthcare provider about it! A 5 minute uncomfortable conversation can make a world of difference in your quality of life with the proper treatment!
Huge fan of Prestige Worldwide. They review all med files and write a detailed opinion letter based on the facts and how those compare to medical literature. A+++
Thank you for your awesome feedback sir!!
Well worth the wait, once again a standout discussion and explanation of a “taboo” subject for males, thank you Leah! ☺
Thank you for watching as always sir and for your continued support!
@Prestige Veteran Medical Consulting I was fortunate enough to qualify for an opinion letter and DBQ for each of my issues. I was able to submit my claim with your opinions and it changed my life. I will forever be grateful.
@Battlejurist Thank you so much for the opportunity and I am so glad we were able to be a part of your journey sir
Thanks for this info. My exam is next week and this makes me feel better about it. I suffered from cauda equina syndrome while in service.
Glad you found it helpful. Best of luck to you at your exam!
I went through the most humiliating and emasculating exam of my genitals and prostate by a female nurse. She then brought in the female receptionist as a chaperone that I DID NOT want and DID NOT request in the room. Then told me if I was uncomfortable I could leave. Who would be comfortable with this!?!?!?! I had to put up with it as I had no choice but to go through with it as I was afraid to be denied compensation. What she should’ve told me was I can decline the physical portion of the exam and I should not have been subjected to that sort of humiliation. I wish I knew. We should all know! Had they brought in a male nurse for an intimate female exam and then insisted on bringing the male receptionist…there would be lawyers involved. Absolutely the most maddening, uncomfortable thing I have ever “had” to do.
That sounds terrible I am so sorry that you experienced that sir. I hope you at least got service connected
@Prestige Veteran Medical Consulting Thank you. Your video on this was really helpful and full of useful information. It is in process now. Should have my letter in a few weeks. It is clearly as a result of being on Lexapro, Xanax and Bupropion. Why is the bourdon on the vet to recreate the wheel EVERY time? Hell the VA put me on these meds and then act like they are not sure what has caused the issue? It’s like a big joke perpetrated on the vet as thanks for a lifetime of service. These medicines are well know to cause these issues…no surprises there. No deformities or injury…so it is absolutely laughable that they make you feel you have to endure the “forced or expected” exam or leave instead of just saying you can skip that and it will not hurt your claim. Perhaps it is fun for them to put men in these undignified and compromising positions. It was an exam given by LHI, a VA subcontractor in Fayetteville. I will never ever let myself be scheduled with them again.
@F I am so sorry that you were traumatized by your experience sir. I hope you can put it behind you and that your results come back quickly and favorably. I am glad you found the video helpful and thank you for watching
Great video as usual Leah. I am going to start the ball rolling on this. I was worried about opening a can of worms for my PTSD but I had a VA rater tell me to “just claim ED secondary to PTSD due to prescribed medication for your PTSD and you’ll be Ok”.
I know that the VA disability claims process causes most people apprehension for sure. Please keep me posted on this sir! Best of luck
@azthundercloud that is terrible. Glad you got your sticker
Hello. I Hope all is well. I have a question for you or anyone watching. I have 10 percent for Tinnitus and during my C&P exam the doctor told me that I was going to be awarded the 10% and additionally he told me to file for hearing loss because my hearing loss was substantial and that he was linking it to my incident on active duty. He further told me to file within the next 3 months so they will have to use the report he was preparing. So I filed for the hearing loss and they attempted to schedule me for another C&P exam through “Veterans evaluations services” . Its a private company the VA uses to do exams. I then I called the VA and they agreed with me that they will go off the first C&P exam. The term they used was to “Use original exam findings”. But they they asked me to cancel the exam. I thought that was odd and they said it was because they would be able to cancel it in time and that if they didnt cancel it in time I wouldve had a no show on my record. So I went along and cancelled it. My question is – have you seen this before and does me cancelling it look bad for me?? I know Hearing loss is probably going to be a zero percentage, but since the C& P Doc told me to file i figured I had nothing to lose and I thought it wold be good to have the Hearing Loss service connected regardless of the percentage because I have Migraines and Anxiety ready to go as “Secondary” conditions to my service connected Tinnitus. Would love to know your thoughts. Oh , one more thing , My MOS was (BU) Builder in the Navy and thats on the DOD Presumption list for noise and hearing related conditions . Thank you. I appreciate you .
Hey sir that is a great question. It is really tough to say because situations like this are always case by case. I would say if you have a VSO or another legal professional handling your case they should be able to look in the system at the notes on your file and provide you some feedback. Keep us posted on this and best of luck!
Thank you for the reply. I’m not worried for 2 reasons. First is Hearing loss isn’t a big deal and the only reason I filed because the C&P doctor told me to.
And second is I think I have a really good chance of connecting Migraines and anxiety to my Service connected Tinnitus. I have them diagnosed and have solid Nexus letters. So correct me if I’m wrong but I don’t think it’s that big of a deal if it goes against me. If if goes positive then it can’t hurt.
@Johnny C Well you never know your hearing could always worsen as you get older too so it would be good to get connected. I hope you get everything connected of course but I do not believe it would interfere with your migraines and anxiety I agree. Keep us posted sir and thanks for watching!
Thank u. I’ll keep u posted
Thank You Leah, for your service in the Military and your special services you provide to us Veterans. Your videos are Down to Earth, you dont come across as Omnipotent like many professionals who can severely impact peoples lifes-Good & Bad. Ditto on this same situation. Can we show the C & P Examiner photos? Short video of our Unit? I would not like an exam or taking pictures/video of my unit but if I go through the trouble of filing I would not like to risk denial because I was Gun shy . I would hope our wifes/GF’s could go with us and or take a few photos to prove we do or dont have any deformities. I would hope a statement from our Wives/GF’s, partner would carry a decent amount of weight
Another emaculale conception explanation
@Dennis Holst ?
I ended up 100% p and t from CES.
I’ve been denied for ED, but they rated me for Hypogonadism. I received testosterone while I was active duty after I had a car accident.
I am sorry to hear that but happy to hear you were service connected for the hypogonadism
Thanks for helping us veterans
You bet sir and thank you for watching!
I am a Viet Nam veteran and Prostate Cancer survivor. I was treated in the civiian world, but the VA reluctantly paid for it At my VA C&P exam the medical “professional” stated theat she could not get prostate cancer as a joke? I replied that she could help herself to cervical cancer.
In my experience since I had downloaded the quesrionaire, the C&P exam was a non event. I strongly recommend reviewing the form before the exam. My advise is to not volunteer any additional information. Just answer the questions.
Sorry to hear about your experience and thank you for the insight
Leah… I have been suffering ED from taking Meds for Anxiety. Its documented in my medical records that I have reported ED and the meds contributed to the ED. In addition, the medical records list my Anxiety meds. Is there a specific exam I need to diagnose ED, or just the mere fact of reporting ED? Would this also be enough for a Nexus Letter?
Hey sir I am sorry to hear this. Your doctor may of may not want to do testing based upon their assessment of the situation. You can also ask them to write you a nexus if you would like. In order for me to write a letter any condition that I review must have a formal diagnosis in the records

Thank you for that information. I have two questions. Can my primary health care provider conduct that assessment for a diagnosis? Or would it have to be one of my MHP?
2nd question. Does ED have its own disability rating or is it combined with another rating? Thank You for your time?
@Joe Lopez ED is not a mental health condition. Psychologists and other mental health counselors have no training in this area. Psychiatrists do as they are medical doctors. I hope this clarifies. You may want to follow up with a legal professional about your second question as I am not an expert on rating combinations unfortunately
I was just rated for ED thanks to Leah’s group. The VBA made it secondary to my Fibromyalgia, just as you did the paperwork for. For some reason the VBA also sent me to 2 C&P exams for the ED. One with VES and the second with LHI/OPTUM. It was a little irritating but the exams went well. The examiners were kind and respectful. No big deal really. Thank you again for your help fellow Vet!!🙂
Thank you again for the awesome feedback sir. Big hugs and congrats!!
