One extremely important fact that should be mentioned is the need to perform pelvic floor exercises regularly and correctly. From my personal experience along with hundreds of men in my support group, its easy to overwork your pelvic floor muscles to the point of worsening your condition. Sometimes, worsening the condition is irreversible as in my case so be careful. Slow and steady should give better results..

With incontinence, especially after a prostectomy, there is a long list of factors that contribute to incontinence, however, two main factors are the skill set of the surgeon and our age. These alone play a vital role with incontinence recovery. Men in their 30s and 40s normally have a better chance for a near full recovery with all other things being created equal.
For me, total incontinence was due to urethral stretching after numerous cystoscopies and catheters after each surgery and ER visit, and I had quite a few..
