this needs to be essential knowledge taught in health class
This is why I base my progress on strength rather than appearance. At my most fit I was still kinda fat but my endurance was amazing. I fell off over the years and I’m slowly getting into the exercising habit again, but this is a comforting reminder that gains don’t have to be visible to know you’re doing a good job with your fitness. Take care of yourselves 💖
Yeah, it should be
So thick thighs truly do save lives
What he’s talking about is the lower abdominal fat. Pelvic fat you see on women where they store fat for hormonal balance. You’ll see it when women wear jeans. The pelvic area is pudgy. Fit women have fat pelvic area.
@@PuffOfSmoke 1) it was a joke
2) I could be wrong, but wouldn’t having thick thighs likely mean that you have higher pelvic fat?
basically we are supposed to be a lil soft. I agree…I’m doing my part eating cookies now.

I honestly wish I had even a small portion of the body fat women had. I’m so skinny that I look like a model of a skeleton you’d see in a museum. I feel fine but I don’t think I should look like a pale bog body with healthier toes.

Keep that energy moving forward in 2023. And it’s true, gains aren’t always visible, especially to the person making them. I have abs, a perfect monthly period, and am so happy. This definitely isn’t true for everyone and shouldn’t be used to dissuade women from having them. Granted, however, my abs come from ballet and the 18 year training to hold in my stomach at all times, so it’s rock hard from discipline and isolated muscles that have been used since I was 5, not exercise.

Honestly, this is the positive news I needed to hear. I worry so much about being thinner than I already am. This felt nice to hear. Thank you.

Either way this video is Super discouraging making me feel like I’m going to be more healthy staying a flabby short girl rather than a “healthy fit” one….
I think there’s a stricking difference between the light fit abs, the the bodybuilder super cut abs. I think he’s referring to the second one in this video
Just don’t do the extreme. I don’t think the point is to discourage those from losing weight. Just don’t do the extreme bodybuilder stuff. Everyone in the bodybuilder world will tell you it’s the most healthy thing. A lot of the top bodybuilders tend to die on the younger side from heart problems.
There should have probably been some more nuance in this discussion. It obviously really depends on how big those ab muscles are and genetics. Even at 15-20% abs can show. Also a lot of fit women you can very clearly see the oblique muscles but not the rectus abdominis (the six pack part), so be careful how you define it
