Part 1:

In this clip, Herman 'Cowboy' Douglas talked about what he assumed Nipsey's reasoning was behind leaving Legendary Records in 2010 and also how "All $ In" was created right after. He then mentioned Big Sam's role in the upgrade as well as expansion of the operation while also opening up about battling medicine dependency around the exact same time.
Nipsey always is described as a 100% solid dude. It almost always is the good die young. RIP NIPSEY.
What strikes me is the humbleness of this man. He could of said he was more of a major player in Nip’s business affairs, but kept it 100 and said he was not part of that. Big respect.
Cowboy has a 💯 life story man. So many ppl never recover once they dabble in those harder drugs like Crack. Proud of his transition.
Cowboy is big thundercat, nip is lil thundercat. This is nips big homie. As the lil homie u never lose respect for ur big homie, even when the big homie loses respect for himself, especially when it comes to drugs. Nip was a real one; never dissing cowboy and helping him whenever he can
What I respect about cowboy is he is the only one keeping nipsey alive in this world. I know his family is still grieving and I understand that but at the same time we need these stories and bits and pieces of his life.. tmc 💯
I admire how humble and straight forward he is this is a great interview vlad. Your really are the king of podcast. You give the streets a voice.
He seems like an upstanding man. I appreciate his testimony about his struggles. It shows he has a solid character…great interview!!!
Salute to Cowboy for telling his truth on this platform. Stay well brother, keep holding your fam Nipsey down. Peace and blessings 🙌🏾 🙏🏾
Respect ✊ I struggled with addiction in my past and my real ones never judged me or looked at me different that’s Respect 🫡
If you reading this and you are struggling with addiction just know that recovering is possible!🙏🏽💪🏽🦅
Much respect to Cowboy! for being honest and candid, to speak about your personal issue’s ESPECIALLY SOMETHING LIKE DOING CRACK!! is a big deal, glad to see that you overcame that and now your on the other side of the fence. Your successful and living life much respect!!
You can tell he’s solid , good he recovered & is moving forward
He kinda does in a way
@DJ Grizzly True, I love the guys who rep the street not the clowns and guys who THE STREET not feeling him and say he dont speak for them. Thats all Im saying. Hes probably the most professional sounding blogger. Im sure the streets reject him tho
AND GOD BLESS YOU
@Spr95Que yeah okay
I wish that wasn’t true, but that’s the way it seems.
Hopefully Nips’s short, but wonderful and inspiring life will motivate our people who are lost to rise above the negatives that plague our community.
@All love baby!!! Meth, Fentanyl and other drugs have made Crack the equivalent of candy.
Cowboy keeping it 💯. Dude genuinely loved and respected his young homie. True definition of what a big homie is suppose to be.
Facts same here , people are quick to make someone feel or look bad when dealing with drugs but instead of trying to make a person feel bad why can’t they say you know what ima try to help him out.
Til this day I cry 😢 for what my mother went through when she was drugs. Nobody cared for her her whole family looked down on her with disdain, nobody helped. She recovered made it out now a minister doing it well, boi those was enlighten times.
Nip’s legacy speaks for itself. His family owes us nothing. They’ve already experienced the ultimate sacrifice. Ermias was a real person. We are not supposed to consume him outside of the music and products he had.
@A Robb you’re wrong tho. Nipsey is bigger than the average rapper. He touched souls and won the hearts of many forever.. He taught ppl and his life can be used to teach more ppl. There’s always a bigger picture. His energy is very close with pac and ppl will always tune in to hear a nipsey story including you which is why you’re here now.
@Grymey World I’m actually here because I’m curious about Cowboy and his story. There’s no shortage of stories about Nipsey. My personal opinion is that artists are people. Their work may belong to the masses. But they are humans and they don’t belong to us. Spending some money on a cd or merch doesn’t entitle us to everything about them & their family reserves the right to keep pieces of them to themselves. You’re free to disagree but I also think the entitlement of fans is part of what drives artists to drugs & premature deaths.
Addiction is only one part of this man. To many times when people see an addict they think thats the only part of their being buts its only one small piece. Keep pushing forward my guy
THATS RIGHT IN 🙏🏽JESUS MIGHTY NAME🙏🏽🙏🏽LOUDEST AMEN
Facts
Damn kinda harsh bro
@Chucky KSO! I feel what you sayin. But he does have lawyers on retainer and uses them to prepare for interviews with guests that have things going on.
Any one of us can find out the court info – technically available to public – but with a slice off to a lawyer, it’s just so much easier to obtain the info.
He’s kinda like TMZ of hip hop sometimes, but TMZ is all about shock value of current events.
Vlad has my respect for focusing on many areas of culture and doing his due diligence in preparation. Different guests – different outcomes, but all this documents ppl to put into the history books
I appreciate his honesty about his drug use. This is why I believe him because he didn’t need to volunteer that information.
Blessings to you and your mom..I’m so glad she was able to beat it ❤️
@Corell Temple erm,yea that’s why people don’t try heroin or crack. That’s like saying the only difference between a murderer and someone who isn’t, is the that person hasn’t killed anyone yet. You’re not supposed to…🤣
😎💪🏾
@Dom thank you Dom for educating 🥺🤞🏽
It’s sad but alot of times people help till they can’t help no more. Drugs, especially crack would just take over people minds. I’m so glad your mom is doing well. Amazing story.
@damn badger you been exposed we know who u are
@Juquian Arizona 😂😂😂😂
@Jason Voorhies fact
@The Joker lol
@GROUCHY SMURF lol
Much respect to Cowboy! He showed up to that dude’s trial EVERY DAY to look that coward in his eyes. He did anything Nipsey needed him to and I do believe his words in his interviews. Met him back in April and he’s a legit guy. Keep pushing!
2 months clean from crack and I’m 37, went from dealer user but my hommies never judged me they just said don’t buy from nobody across town.
Black Sam that’s why. And he genuinely isn’t a liar maybe.
It seems everybody is dying young.
Aye nah I give em all respect for even mentioning it 💯.most people don’t even wanna speak on that but he kept it 💯.
@Fred0Gz look at your profile picture 🤦🏽♂️
Yal lost.the truth is deep. Bruh fake trust me.
No he didn’t. He envied him.
Negative. I know the real scoop tho. He fake trust me
Xs
I trust his words over Big U… For some reason I don’t trust Big U… I’ve met guys like Big U in the past & there’s a lack of authenticity there.. But Cowboy is 💯, honest with it…
🙏🏼🙏🏼
Man he’s been through a lot. I see the pain in his face when talking about his baby mother throwing hot water in his face. He almost lost it at that point in the conversation.
My Mom had the same problem with my family they honestly don’t care until she passed they looked down on us because she was on drugs we were kind of blackballed by our own family too
No we don’t.His family gave us Nip while he was alive so they don’t owe us a single thing.He left a music catalog,a philosophy,a clothing store & interviews if you’re that obsessed that you can’t go a minute without some Nipsey info.js
@? this aint the stand and that fool aint his homie nomore. Who gaf
@Bob Smith Well Nipsey is more of a man that most ppl in these comments and he still had respect for his homie. That says allot about his character. Which most y’all couldn’t hold a candle too. Its called unconditional love.
@Sniper Gang exactly. You still got luv for him as long as he didn’t steal from you.
@Your Surgery Sister a rat is no specific sort of telling. A rat is someone that testifies, writes a statement, dry snitches all that. Theres is no specific definition for a rat. Do u not realize a WITNESS TAKING THE STAND is the ultimate ratting resort. “Witness taking the stand” HEAR how that sounds cmon
Well said.
