I love your channel! Thank you for all the invaluable help! It is very much appreciated.
Hi Michelle👋 Thank You for your kind message 💐 I used the Sealy spinal alignment pillow last night with a pillow between my knees and a pillow at my side to rest my arm.. When I rest my head in the middle of the sealy pillow
It is softer. I slept well.. I follow all your physical therapy videos, they have been beneficial to me. Thank you very much for all your work that you do to help people all round the world. with health issues. I’m from 🏴 Scotland.
I’m going to try these right now! Thank you so much! ❤️
I’m an artist and my wrists, neck, and lower back really suffer from it. I REALLY hurt my lower back today and I did some of your exercises and the pain is already mostly gone. I’m gonna try one of these sleeping positions tonight and see how much it helps. I’m going to start doing stretches for my wrists, neck, and lower back every day.
It’s all about ongoing maintenance isn’t it Orchid take care and monitor posture while working too plus regular short breaks if you can
Thanks for another great vid Michelle ❤️ Do these sleep positions help with SIJ pain as well? I have chronic pain and fibromyalgia. The pain and discomfort in the sacrum/SI joint area often keep me awake at night and making me extremely fatigued the next day. Because of the chronic health condition, I am only 43 kgs. Being underweight and boney make it more difficult for the spine and pelvis to be aligned during sleep I expect. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Hi Chen yes these positions can help with SIJ pain especially trying to keep the sore side upper most too. Have you tried using foam underlay placed above your mattress? Some companies that make foam products sell inexpensive off cuts that can be very helpful when positioned under the hip to soften the surface
Hi Michelle! Thanks so much for making this video! It helps a lot! I woke up this morning had really bad lower back pain and now it’s all recovered after applying your method! Have a nice day!
I damaged my shoulder, and ignored and not my right pec and right side of my back have over compensated, the shoulder and chest I can deal with but this back pain has progressed worse and worse. I was supposed to get physio months ago but coronovirus came about and I have not heard a thing. I’m stuck at home with no knowledge how to strengthen my weaker muscles and spend most the day sat or laying down. I was told just to take paracetemol and ibroprufen but doesn’t take the pain away anymore and codeine tablets are having little effect also. I’m stuck with no idea how to get better. Breathing hasn’t been the greatest either.
Turns out I have germ cell tumor in my chest pushing on my right lung causing muscular pain on the right side of my body. Currently doing my chemotherapy. It’s a turn I did not see coming but it’s very treatable I am told. =/ stay safe everyone.
Thank you! I’d injured my sacrem in December and have been in and out of Chiro appointments this whole year. You’ve taught me a lot already. You’re appreciated❤️ Cheers
I pulled a muscle in the side of my lower back last week and it did ease off but then the pain came back worse over the weekend it’s not as bad now as I am moving about more at work during the day. I’ve also been sleeping on my bloody back so no wonder it’s not gone yet!😩 Thank you for the video, I will be trying the side position tonight. Xxx
Glad to help Rachel!
Both positions worked out great for me. I was able to sleep perfectly fine last night. Thank you!!
My back hurts now and felt instantly better with the side position! Thank you!
I found that lying horizontal across my bed helps, I keep my pillow by my head, a memory foam pillow under my back and spine, and a normal pillow under my knees to elevate them a little. It helps alot and stops stiffness in the morning
Very helpful, thanks. But I have acid reflux so there is the challenge of needing to keep the head high while trying to support the spine and neck to avoid the lower back pain. Any suggestions?
I can’t thank you enough for this video! Two weeks with a thoracic sprain and minimal sleep; I came across your video and gave it a try, because I was so uncomfortable. My sleep was much better last night and less painful 😖. Thank you so much for sharing 🥰
Glad it helped you Kelli!
As soon as I put the pillow under my legs I felt the relief! Thank you!
I used to regularly sleep on my stomach (it was the only comfortable sleeping position) but i had read that it wasn’t good, so I started sleeping on my back and side but I had still had back pain! I tried the lying on back method in this video, and my back finally doesn’t hurt! Thank you SO MUCH for this video, it was extremely helpful ❤️
I’m so glad to read this! Take care
@Pirate Dog hope ur okay man? Hows things now?
Covid has literally turned me from a 16 year old to a 80 year old…I’m not joking
Michelle thank you so much. Ive had a recurring L5 disc bulge since I was 16 years old and almost every time Ive ended up in the hospital unable to walk. Between you and Bob and Brad, Im doing better from havign to crawl up the stairs yesterday to being able to limp around today
The real challenge is staying in this position once you fall asleep
Hi there, I tried this last night as I was in agony for most of my day & I slept so well. Thank you very much Michelle💕
@Sahil Desai make sure you get up every hour and walk around and stretch. I messed my back up so bad sitting at a computer without breaks. No joke. It’s bad
Same. I dont think its covid since everytime i play sports i somehow sprain my back
Same here
Hi Tduu, can u explain me, pls.
Exactly… Post covid my health just went down to 50%…. I can really feel the difference 😔😔
