Unfortunately in the west we get only one yellow variety bananas, ( Cavendish)I think, but in places like India, one can get red bananas , ripped green bananas, mountain mini bananas, & about 10 or more varieties! Can they genetically modify to suit diabetics

I have been a diabetic patient for 35 yrars. Still, i am eating at least one banana (bigger one called ethakka, in kersla, india) invriably everyday. With medication my Hb A1c level has been 5.6 to 5.8.

In Uganda their main crop is Banana. Naturally their food are mainly green banana cooked addind required salt. This is then crushed into a solid paste and ate as their normal food with meat curry. I measured my sugar level 3 mos ago and it was 117.. somewhat high but i dont do anything…no diet at all.. And it was this morning that i measured again (fasting) and i was shocked because it was so high that i could not imagine.. I feel that my sugar level increases because i feel something like blurred vision & a lil bit high or what do i say.. parang lutang lang.. oh my God ..it was 172😭😭😭..Now, i dont know what to eat… I made researches and i must lower my carbs intake.. ..like all PilipInos..i love to eat rice, twice a day.. and i eat also bananas everyday and sometimes twice a day..the yellow one..
