I have been researching for scoliosis exercises and exercises like this one, because I have this issue. I had tried exercises for scoliosis before and they were actually improving my scoliosis! That looks very do’able for this senior citizen with crippling (undiagnosed) back PAIN! Because of the pain, I can’t be on my feet too many minutes a day, and that ‘has’ to be compressing everything between my lower back and shoulders. Your exercises can’t but help that. I just need something to hang from. I’ll figure it out. Thanks, gentlemen! : )
I spent 30 years walking to work with a heavy shoulder bag – always on my left shoulder. I’ve just noticed in photos I have a definite tilt. Thanks for the tips!
Omigosh, answer to prayer! Been dealing with this for 6 months. Waking up with tightness on right side/hip, thinking it was the bulging disk, but usual stretch for it not working. Many thanks for this video, totally took tightness & pain away!
You may want to research the Feldenkrais method.

Many people have scoliosis symptoms because of the SI joint has mis alignment. Try to get this examined because you will get straight to the root of this very common problem

Thanks Bob and Brad. I am suffering from this problem since a year and still cannot fix. Now I have problem during sleep and while walking. I tried all the excercise you post here, the show positive sign. It would be great if I get tips for sleep as well.
I have had pain in the lower left side of my back on and off for a while now. These stretches have made me realise that I collapse on that side. The stretches feel as though they will help. Thanks lads!
Hello there and thanks for another great video. An eighty year old friend of mine has back pain and is following your channel. When he was younger he remembers he had to keep hoisting up the waist band of his pants over one hip and he now wonders if that was an early sign of his back problem. Could he be right? Had a disc removed and had terrible drop foot due to the nerve being crushed I’m now week 5 and have full motion back in my foot thanks guys for your videos

This one is close to my heart, Boys, because my “one sidededness” used to give me a lot of pain until I found Pilates and now I’ve (like you) dedicated my career to helping others with imbalances. BTW Bob, I think sleeping on my left side for 20+ years contributed to my right side tightness so I avoid that now…you should try it. 😉

It will definitely help! And if you work on strengthening your right side to also counter balance the collapse on the left it will help re-align. I have the same issue due to Scoliosis. Hope this helps, Joan.

How often to do these stretches per day and you mentioned 20 to 30 seconds? Every time I have pain in any part of my body, I come right to you guys and find different stretches to do to help me…

Thanks Bob & Brad! My wife has great difficulty getting on the floor and back up, so I placed a long card table under the blanket on our bed and she works out on that. It works great!
Waking up Sunday morning with excruciating pain . I couldn’t walk I couldn’t sit I couldn’t even stand straight up.I can’t thank you enough after repeating a few times your exercise the pain has gone ,absolutely amazing.

Thanks for this. Been waking up with a sore right side. Mattress is fine. I sleep on my left side always. Felt relief with these stretches right away. Will do more core strengthening exercises to support my spine and back too. Thanks guys. Great video as always.
