nobody loves us like Doctor Dray
@Dr DrayI have the same thought. Really, doc, thank you so much for your videos. 😍🥰
I’ve been thinking the same thing!
The true mark of a good doctor is, in my opinion, that they not only take into consideration their own field of medicine, but also others like you did with mental health.
So happy she mentioned not to become to obsessed with anti aging because of its impact on mental health. Mental health is 100x more important than whatever beauty standards
Not eatting “garbage” has been one of the most important life style changes I have made. Not only has my skin’s health improved but also my overall health.
Everyone: “the 30s are great.”
Me, a stressed, unemployed and single 25 year old: “girl I sure hope so.”
Agreed 🤝
This is exactly what I needed. I just turned 26 and my skincare routine consists of cleansing, moisturising and wearing sunscreen and I feel like I should be doing more 😭
Sharing this with my 2 daughters in their 20s and my 19 year old son! Love your content
Keep up the good work 👏👏
I will be 23 this year! I just want to age gracefully but I’m not scared of aging. I just wanna be the best version of myself!
I started taking care of my skin since I was 18. Everybody made fun of me using eye cream when I was 20 or sunscreen at 22. I am 53 and every body asks what is your secret looking younger😊🌹.
This video is wonderful!! I love Dr Dray because other skin care people on YouTube like Hyram or Susan often give great tips, but they pursue skincare as a costly hobby whereas I want as simple and effective skincare as possible, preferably all cheap stuff from the drugstore. I’m 22 and I know I’m going to look great thanks solely to Dr. Dray and michelle from lab muffin beauty science
Blackout curtains and sleeping for at least 8 hours has changed my life. As far as sun protection goes whenever I obsess over it I try to remember wearing sunscreen and sun protective clothing is more than anyone else is doing around me at my age (26), so I try to feel accomplished rather than worried!
Great advice as always! Sleep and diet probably affect my skin the most. And I totally agree, I was a ball of stress in my 20’s and worried about EVERYTHING. For me, the older I get the easier life gets stress-wise.
I’m 19 and I started using sunscreen about a year ago everyday, even when I am inside. I wash my face everyday morning and night. I apply a moisturizer I enjoy the dormer cream from the drugstore fragrance free, simple.I apply Vaseline or the cerave ointment under my eyes and around my nose. I then apply differin gel over my face avoiding eyes and mouth. I have noticed a big difference in my skin. Thanks so much for the help Dr.Dray! You are amazing!
@cherryshelsow youre welcome
@cherryshelsow Yeah I’ve been reading a lot about how Timeless vitamin C is on the cheaper end and it’s everyone’s holy grail! Just ordered some 🙂
@Britny Snyder you should wear sunscreen even in the house! unless you’re a vampire and have absolutely no sunlight coming through your windows 🧛♀️
Science: “You need 8 hours of sleep” College: Three- take it or leave it.
Am I the only one in my mid 20’s who is actually looking forward to being 30 when I will be closer to financial stability, my own home, and the end of freaking adult acne?
@Britny Snyder Yeah I’m pretty sure people should still wear sunscreen even if inside all day… light & UV rays still get inside buildings unless you live in a bunker
Dr.Dray: “Try to turn off all your devices a few hours before bed”
me watching this at 1 am: 👁👄👁
I’m 21
Yes. Also because the ironic thing is being stressed/depressed/overthinking actually ages you (there’s scientific explanation) There’s a reason behind those dramatic photos of the Presidents aging before and after their terms. And from the people I know /have come across, I honestly even feel like stress AGES people worst than smoking does, sometimes.
@Mai Alyssa Gomes Silva 💞 And?
I love how she emphasizes on how aging is natural and is something that we shouldn’t be ashamed off, to which I agree. However I’m willing to bet the majority of people (myself included) looking for this type of content are here for purely cosmetic reasons 😂.
You have such a great mindset!! Im 26 and ive learnt that aging will happen no matter what so its best to just embrace it!
@Dr Dray Can you please cover the Hayflick limit and retinol? Im in my 20s so if I apply retinol now I might run out of cell divisions when im 60??
She’s not only teaching us skincare, she teaches us life😩
4:03 am 😳
Anti aging skincare in 20s
1. Cleanse in the evening
2. Sunscreen (Face, hands, neck)
3. Moisturizer
4. Vaseline
5. Retinoid
6. No alcohol
7. 8 hrs sleep
8. Fruits and vegetables
@cherryshelsow they have sunscreen powder. physicians formula has spf pressed powders (translucent and colored) and ULTA sells loose powder spf makeup with a portable application brush. ulta also sells spf setting sprays. so you could use a makeup with spf, set with a powder with spf, and use an spf setting spray, and then touch up with powder and setting spray throughout the day?
10:00 pm…. on the weekends…
Yeah I think you guys can tell I have strict parents
@Loved no it’s not.
@Ade Axel yea it is
😂
whats the vaseline for
@Loved there’s no such thing as “toxic” meat, an overconsumption of red meat can encourage cancer but it’s not toxic in moderation. you sound exactly like the clean beauty advocates.
@Derek Ward it is
💖
Getting them hooked at a very young age 💪
@Nina Mendz it helps your skin retain moisture
I am afraid that’s not how it works, dear…🙃
@Kit nope.
2 am for me lol
I’m 26 and it has been 7 years of apropriate skin care for me. People make fun of me because of sunscreen even when I’m not in the sun, but secretly I tink “hun, let’s see if you are going to say that 20 years from now 😎”
Congratulations
@Zeynope my boyfriend do the same think with me 😣
Gonna try vaseline under my eyes
@Derek Ward Pasture Raised Meat and fish is pretty Good.
Do u wear sunscreen everyday even in the winter ? How often are we supposed to replay it in the winter
you forgot face mask
@Stefania🌸🌙 facts! Another thing I remember, even though im 22 (old to teenagers on tiktok already 😭) not everyone gets to have the privilege of growing old. There are millions of people who will never live past x age, so every day or year for us is a blessing. ❤️
You create your reality so if you want to change it, change it ☺️ it’s not easy but you can do it
I have been doing skincare sense I was 14 and have made many mistakes (like apricot scrub) but I’m 20 now and have made a perfect routine for myself so I’m glad to hear it’s worth it
Spoiler alert you can still get acne in your 30s😭😭
Working on my alcohol consumption! Looking to eliminate it completely, or at least only drink it occasionally! I think excessive sugar intake may also have an effect on the skin in terms of aging(?) not 100% on that, but I’m looking to significantly reduce that as well!
@Blue Coleman 28 and I feel the same!! I feel like I’m the one who robbed myself of my teens though! So freakin sad!! But it’s not exactly too late to live! Just gotta find a way to make the best out of your circumstance!🙏🏾
@Leah May There are some studies suggesting there are health benefits to habitual moderate drinking. HOWEVER, drinking too much regularly is conclusively bad for you
Same
😭😭😭I’m getting bags under eye, Hate it!
@ExtraChilirose hell nah. My parents got me into this shi-
I’m 29 omg after this comment section I wanna be like 18 again cuz I just realized I’m almost thirty omg and imma server smh way to go me 🤦😥😥😥 not really
@Mohamed Mane tnx 🙂 Now I use korean 3WC eye cream. Recommended. It removes eye dark circles.
❤️❤️❤️
I m 25 and looking forward to my 60’s.
@Javeria Abbasi please start using retinols now
Like the other replies say… doesn’t really happen that way. BUT you will be more confident in who you are and have more experience dealing with all these life stresses so nothing feels quite as awful. 30s are definitely better than 20s. But now I’m hoping 40s will be better than 30s 😄
You’re doing better than 99% of your peers!! Sunscreen is the whole ball game. No wrinkles or hyperpigmentation to fight with actives if you don’t have the sun damage. Keep up the good work!
Only because of too much partying in college. 😅
30s are great indeed. You will get there. 👍
Thank you!!
I adore her. She’s literally the reason why I have a skin care routine and started double cleansing, moisturizing, wearing sunscreen, using petrolatum & started healing my skin barrier. Next I have to commit to a retinoid lol. She’s super evidence-based and her efforts to communicate medical findings and advice in an accessible and free manner makes her the GOAT.
I really like this blog site, will definitely come back again. Make sure you carry on creating quality content articles.
