Amazing info, explained so well! Love to see other women sharing info on similar topic to me! its so important that women help each other through this stage of our lives, thank you for sharing π
Thank you.
Women in peri/menopause need saturated fats. They help regulate our hormones. In fact, people of all ages need saturated fats. The problem with these fats occurs, if one doesn’t eat an otherwise healthy, whole food diet.
What about the hair loss part? You forgot about that one. How do you stop that problem? My mother is loosing her hair like crazy.
Thanks!!Avacado’s r my new fruit’s π’πππ¦

I am 46 years old and suffer from hair fall… Since 2014 I have hair fall every year for 4 months. But this year my hair fall is continuing since last 7+ months. I consulted a dermatologist and he had asked me to take birth control pill as I am approaching menopause and it will increase my estrogen. But my gynaecologist says I should not take birth control pill at this age as it’s not safe. So i would like to know whether any supplements will increase estrogen and help stopping hair fall. Please help I take flaxseed, pumpkin seed, fish, walnut, Greek yogurt daily. I also have hypothyroidism and avoid soy. Thanks

Totally agree BUT I find it funny that someone 20 years far from the menopause talks about it π€£π€£π€£without experience it. And how come a dietitian is over waited but gives food advice π€π€or may be pregnant.
Talk to your doctor about if hormone replacement therapy would be useful for you. But first, get bloodwork done to check your iron and insist on the exact results, even if in the range of normal. My bloodwork came back as normal, but when I checked the numbers myself, my iron was at the lowest number in the range of normal. Thatβs not good enough for me. I started a gentle iron supplement, and my hair loss slowed, and my insanely heavy periods are more manageable now. Also make sure to get enough biotin for your hair. I supplement.
I wouldn’t ever recommend soy, unless it’s very small amounts of organic soy.
Thanks for the information. I’ve been having hot flashes for some time now, it is frustrating. I like your kitchen, it’s big and there’s lots of light.
