Mooie Q&A!! Dank je wel😘
Dank je wel lieve Eva!😘
Great interview. Thank you. I love Dr. Greger. Nice that he’s so informed, but if he hasn’t studied a topic, he puts it on his list.
You certainly managed to squeeze in a lot of great questions! Excellent interview!
You are welcome! 🙂 Yes! I love that too! He only follows what is proven to be right and will update if necessary
Thank you! I appreciate your comment!
What is he doing? Is he on a treadmill…?
Yes, he’s on a treadmill.
@Leah w ok, thanks
Is it really necessary to be on treadmill while giving an interview??
He always does his interviews on the treadmill lol. Multi tasker
He believes in walking a certain amount a day. I have yet to see him do an interview through facetime when he isnt walking on the treadmill. I thought the same thing when I first started watching him but now I find it enduring and it reminds me to get moving. 😊🤣
If the majority of soy in America is known to be gmo and gmo/round up foods are widely known to cause cancer, should we still eat soy? I wish he’d give sources for where Americans can buy 100% verified non gmo soy beans or tofu. I wish I could eat soy, but my ovaries get covered in cysts every single time I touch the stuff.
This GMO concerns + the cyst issue is a great question to post in his FB support group. I hope you will soon enjoy soy again.
I’m allergic to soy it makes my throat close up and it irritates my endometriosis as well.
Wow! que joven se ve el doctor, admiro su trabajo, sus libros hasta ahora son mis favoritos en el campo de la nutrición.
Wow! How young the doctor looks, I admire his work, his books so far are my favorites in the field of nutrition.
He’s agreed to an interview and is giving powerful information here, that’s all that matters.
And he’s showing a good example of how to efficiently combine a healthy activity with another one 🙂
It’s not like his answers are any less valueable when he’s on a treadmill :p
Flat Earth research is compelling. Thanks for the interview
Yes! He’s always busy, so not wasting time
The majority of soy is used as either animal feed or turned into oils for fast food places. I can easily find organic tofu, edamame, and soy milk in my grocery store. Organic in the US is also required to be non-gmo.
Great job , loving hearing all the info .
Super intéressant dommage pas traduit en français 😔
Omega 3, Dingus
i made a video on this topic and YT suggested this one and here I am.I was diagnosed with endo 4-3 surgeries,2 lost pregnancies, and 20 years later I finally managed to put my illness into remission naturally. IT IS POSSIBLE REGARDLESS WHAT,, GURUS,, TELLING YOU! NEVER GIVE UP ON YOURSELF. And weight loss…for a long time i thought I am fat without realizing it was just a chronic inflammation-make anti-inflammatory diet a LIFESTYLE and watch the magic happens…not only you gonna lose weight, get rid of the pain and bloating but if you stick with it endo will become only a distant memory. It’s my 3rd-year endo free! Sending lots of love to who ever reads this!
is he sort of against the grass fed beef or is he okay with that; thank you in advance for any answers… 🙂
very good interviewer; she asked great questions… 🙂
Its his thing. I adore him! Haha
With all due respect, your interviewee seems obnoxious about the science. The problem with his ideologies is that humans do not eat in a vacuum unless they are following extreme diets. He says everyone else is wrong but he is right. The arrogance of his scientific assertions fail to include individuality and other contexts that fall under the biopsychosocial model or epigenetics.
We do not have time for scientific arrogance. He should have just cited specific studies without being condescending. I am disappointed in this perpetual arrogance in academia. The individual should have an individual protocol or specific routine according to their region for general health as well.
You were a good interviewer, however.
@The Green Creator Thank you for taking your very valuable time to respond. I obviously was taken aback but maybe that is because I have an extensive medical background and find that far too many clinicians have an air about them. You certainly know this clinician. I was merely making my assumptions based on my worldview and experience. I could be totally wrong in my impression.
While I have far too many years invested in higher education not to have a D (PhD, MD, Ed, etc.) behind my name, I can say that I developed a middle of the road mindset. There is no theory of everything as it applies to human beings. I know that clinicians deal with norm data, yet norm data contributes to iatragenic mortality far too often but that is a tale for another time. We are more than what we eat. Eating is a sensory experience. All other experiences factor into our state of health.
I simply wish to “assert” that there really is no size fits all, particularly in dietary habits. We have come so far but still have much farther to go. Whole foods eaten moderately are certainly best. Sometimes people have illnesses and deteriorate on vegan diets. Sometimes people become ill on high protein diets. Yet neither of those categories is sufficent to cover the multitude of dietary factors. As human animals, we often do not have the sense of non-human animals who stop eating and rest when they are sick. Now that is wisdom!
Kindest regards to you!
@Teal Jade – Anecdotes and Research Notes oh absolutely! I agree with that. Food is also just one aspect. The quality of the air we breath, the water we drink, the toxics we are exposed to and the stress we endure also play a big role.
I find the enormous amount of studies he reads on a daily basis and then translates that to something more easy to understand very interesting.
The human body is complex and let’s be honest, we all need to die one day regardless which “diet” we follow 🙂
fantastic interview !
Before giving up on soy try ONLY eating fermented soy and in small amounts, say a 1/4 cup per day. I have PCOS and endometriosis. So try tempeh, natto and miso. Also follow Dr Gregers’ Daily Dozen App with a HUGE emphasis on berries and leafy greens. The whole plan needs to be followed though. Stop eating dairy…very bad for both endometriosis and PCOS. Go vegan but take methylcobalamin B12, eat tons of greens for folate, take vitamin D3 and especially algae based Omega 3 with a high level of DHA. Do not drink alcohol and especially not coffee (it drives endometriosis). Also cut out sugar…your skin will respond with thanks. Gluten is also unhelpful for endometriosis…it is known there is a link with gluten intolerance and celiac but no one knows why yet. But it was certainly the case for me. So go gluten free.
Young? He looks frail and so old and he is relatively young in age…
@Bill T nope he cherry picks what he wants you to hear and leaves out lots of context. Like the whole animal products “causes heart diseases and diabetes” when he left out that those studies were done on those who also smoked, didn’t workout, weren’t health conscious, also who ate a standard American diet which mixed animal products in with processed foods. He never can back up if a semi health-conscious person who eats clean foods like eating clean animal foods with non-processed plant foods foods can cause heart disease and diabetes.
In my opinion the *Agoge diet* is the best diet available, you get rid of fat fast and feel energetic.
agogediet is amazing, i had great results with it
lol no
Is it really necessary to be triggered by such an irrelevant thing such as him walking on a treadmill while giving an interview? You don’t even need to watch this video, just listen to it and that is all that matters anyway.
@Bill T Oops, I seem to have misread your comment and thought you meant to say how Inuits eating crap means that that is good for us. 😀
But still, if you check the data, usually their lifespan would be around 70 years and they would have low incidence of atherosclerosis. But they also discovered genetic adaptation to that lifestyle. 🙂
@Bill T Didn’t see that. Thanks 🙂
Nice presentation of questions and thank you for the timestamps in the description, great job! I was curious about fats also since Esselstyn had people with cardiac issues reduce fat intake.
So, does Greger not eat salt at all? No pinch or celtic or pink salt?
December 2022, looking forward to it! How Not To Age! I bet walking and hibiscus tea will make an appearance
Hi Carmelo, thank you! Glad to read the time stamps were helpful. I think he avoids it as much as possible (so maybe he only consumes a bit while traveling?). There is a FB group for dr. Greger fans. Perhaps that can be helpful for such questions?
Yes! How exciting he keeps working on new books, right? I think you are right on the tea and walking 🙂
Btw, he isn’t on a treadmill. He has serious nerve damage
Hi Farnio, thank you for your comment. I would encourage you to search for dr. Greger here on YouTube. He walks on a treadmill almost all day, but there are interviews and presentations he gives sitting/standing perfectly still. Even though nerve damage is often not visible to other people but the patient. I hope this helps and have a lovely day.
Any more specific advice on how we can do that please
He’s in an iron lung
If you want the exact science examples just buy his book for a few bucks.. Dont think he will dedicate his life for this and he will go to every youtube channel and talk for hours and hours… I mean people wake up, read and dont look for the easy video or easy solution… its 2022 wake up….
@DocFilm.comYou wrote a nice defense. My comment was based purely on my
observations. That is how it works with having insights and opinions. As well, people are individuals with unique genetics so there are truly no one size fits all solutions. That is where allopathic medicone gets onto trouble. Just because people dedicate their time to a theory does not mean the theory is correct. By definition a theory is a hypothesis of sorts and has not been procen to be a fact.
I am glad that you have insights and opinions that are meaningful to you, based on your worldview and ideology. May you enjoy the rest of your day.
Hiya, I’m really glad I have found this info. Today bloggers publish only about gossips and internet and this is actually annoying. A good site with interesting content, this is what I need. Thank you for keeping this web-site, I will be visiting it. Do you do newsletters? Cant find it.
