You should probably listen to your physical therapist. All lower back pain is not created equal and the cause of your pain could be completely different than the average 40 year old with lower back pain that’s usually a result of bad posture or tenseness in the back muscles. These ppl aren’t medical professionals so pretty much the only people who should be doing their exercises are people who are in decent enough shape and no serious physical impairments.
