Thank you, so clear, so concise and so helpful….wish my vet were like you. He just gave antibiotic shot, pills and steroid. No suggestions as to what to do about the wet nasal sounds when my dog breathes nor the cough. No diagnosis, just said it may be a cold. Love the honey/tea/water tip as well as the humidifier tip! Both have helped as well as sitting in the steamy bathroom on the floor while the hot shower runs and the door closed and sealing off the gap under the door. We sit there and I pet and soothe him. This works the fastest, for him! Thank you again, your care and compassion are obvious!!
A couple of our dogs ended up getting this cough and we gave them the lemon and honey mixture and they coughed a bit here and there but aren’t as bad as they were. Thank you so much for you advice !
Thanks Doc. I practice homeopathic medicine for myself and all this makes total sense. I’m leaving town for two weeks and these are practical applications I can give to Bounder’s sitter while I’m away. Cheers!
Thanks for making this video! Super helpful, especially including the dosages per weight. Many thanks!
Thank you for the excellent information! So many vets jump right to toxic prescription drugs without suggesting homeopathic remedies first. Very easy to follow instructions!
Thanks
Hey doc. thank you for taking the time to properly inform the public and to provide us informed options. Blessings.
Thanks
This helps so much! The vet gave me a homeopathic medicine for his anxiety and the last thing that I read on the package was feather plucking! I did not even know that was a real thing I thought it was just my special pup! I had to switch out all my pillows but I notice if there is a blanket left down he will find any lint he can to bite off of the blanket, bless his little heart!

Hi Doc, thanks for your great info! My schnauzer started passing out after his 14th B’Day. After that traumatic event, the vet diagnosed an enlarged heart (worse than he’s ever seen) and gave him 2 days at the most to live. We went home with 4 medications and to let him eat anything he wants. Instead I put him on homemade organic food including organic treats and prayers. Just recently he started coughing (for the last 3 days) and for 4 weeks the vet put him on fluid treatments to flush the kidneys from the medication (over 400 count brought down to 200 – again he shouldn’t have been walking around). 7 months after diagnoses he had some water went to lay down started coughing…I picked him up – kept coughing after about 45 sec. started panting and passed away in my arms. I was thankful for the extra time we were given but still wonder if there might have been anything else I could have done? Your cough remedy? Earlier that day he passed out twice for about 2 seconds after he did his businesses. Sorry for rambling…he was so alert and in the moment. Do you think it was just his time or did I miss doing something. Can’t stop thinking about him. Thanks!
Sorry for your loss- likely it was fluid from the heart failure
Thanks for giving me a safer way for treating my dogs ailments. Will look forward to more of your videos👍🏽
Any natural remedies for heartworm? HWF? Black Walnut? Ty
This is the best advice I’ve heard in years. We are a natural remedies and whole foods family. Our dog, Bailey, get holistic dog kernel food and is quite a happy and healthy 10 year old Shi Tzu. We do give him a small amount of my homemade kefir, every day, and a few of the grains, once a week.
Since watching your video on coughing, it sounds like Bailey May have the tracheal collapse type. We will switch him from the collar to a harness even though, most times, we use a Halti with the leash.
Thank you, so much, for very wise advice. You’re a gem! 😊
Thank you Dr. Andrew Jones for this life saving information! I believe my dog may have kennel cough as opposed to chf or trachea collapse thanks to you. You have put my anxiety driven mind at great ease. She has a vet appointment tomorrow and hopefully she needs to cough in front of the vet lol. I am now subscribed. God bless
Thanks for posting this information. My 10 year Aussie suddenly started whizzing, spitting up foam, and got a purple tongue when going for a neighborhood stroll. The whole episode lasted about 3 hours. We stumbled upon your video and it was calming and offered good advise.
Welcome
You know what’s interesting? Everytime I need an answer (a holistic answer) to my 15 year old Shih Tzu (because it’s always something lately after 15 years of NO PROBLEMS – EVER) one of your random videos will pop up – seemingly always to address the current issue! It’s amazing! Divine Intervention? Thanks Dr!
How much did you give in an empty syringe or dose on a med. size dog?
@Bertha Patricia Llerena We have chiweenies so used the amount of a teaspoon. Good luck!
I read dogs hate the smell of lemon lol or any citrus 😂
Omg, you are a lifesaver! I was so worried. Gave her honey and lemon and she seems to be more comfortable 😩 thank you so much!
Awesome. Thank you for putting up your videos. My dogs has had a cough ever since I got him when he was a 11 months old. He’s now 13 yrs old. He’s a miniature Chihuahua and he weighs about 3 pounds. His cough has never went away. The vet I used to take him said he could have allergies. I give him honey in his water and it helps. But never thought of the lemon juice being ok.
I hope it helps him.
Hi doc, how long does a tracheal collapse last? My dogs are coughing almost a week now. Same one with your dog.
Dr. Jones is awesome. My dog’s cough stopped within one day! I used the lemon, honey, hot water and echanacia without alcohol drops. I’ve searched online for quite a while. I’m a cancer patient and could not take my dog to the vet because of covid. I am so glad I found this YouTube! I am subscribing to his channel!!

I tried your cough treatment on my 13 yr old chihuahua(just a teaspoonful) and it helped! Thank you for your advice. This is the first time he’s had a cough in his life. Seeing his vet this week.
You’re welcome, glad it helped.
Was it a on going cough
Last week I had a cough so I made myself the same honey and lemon recipe and I was wondering if it’d be safe for my dog. Thanks for confirming! 😀
Additionally I usually boil ginger tea, soothes the throat instantaneously. Anybody know if it’s safe for dogs too?
Can I ask you how you administered it my dog refuses to take it

Thank you Doc! You are a life saver, my 11mth old Maltipoo. Had contracted kennel cough. Took him to the vet, was prescribed antibiotics. He completed them, a month later he has it again. So I gave him the warm water, with honey, and coconut oil. But I just saw your video, so before his bedtime. I’ll give him the lemon juice, with honey and warm water. I really appreciate you, I think holistic medicine is better. For our little furbabies ❤❤🙏🙏
