My pt did a traction unit for my low back. It made my back feel horrible days later. It stretched my back just enough to allow the nerves to pinch in areas it never usually did
Great video and help. So many in need of this info without spending their whole paycheck.
Vertical traction with support, core engagement in a warm pool helps as well. Can add ankle weights if indicated, I’ve been an Aqua PTA since 1997. Maybe 1 person during that time could not tolerate. Water is great as well! So many benefits. ❤️
Thankyou for the nasal strips at night to lower blood pressure! It worked!!
Hey Bob and Brad! Thank you for doing this video. This is exactly what I need!Do you have a suggestion for people who may not be able to get down to the floor? I had knee replacement surgery on both knees. Unless there’s way to get down and back up without kneeling?
My back feels more relaxed just listening and watching you B&B.
Thank you! I’m waiting to see the specialist for my lower back and was trying to get more comfortable. Thanks for showing how to get up as well. Gonna be hard to remember but so important!
Thanks guys, my stenosis and pinched L5-S1 are being buttheads today and I appreciate the reminder about these worthwhile decompression techniques!
Great reminder. You can never do too many of these videos as far as I’m concerned. thank you!
Thank you Bob and Brad, I appreciate the knowledge you pass along! 🙏👍😊
Brad said you can do this on the bed.
Hi guys, I just go into the ‘Asian squat’ to relieve my lower back. It offers a really good stretch that goes down the back of my legs. Have to make sure that I don’t round my shoulders.
stick to the basics, i always neglect this one. had a few pain free days this week for the first time in months since I hurt. thanks a ton.
Thank you Bob and Brad, as always great advice. ❤️❤️
Very helpful.
Thanks for watching!
Cheering you on Bob!! Thank you for continuing to share your knowledge and humor! And you too Brad 😆🥰🙏🏻
Bed or couch.
I just thought a firm surface might be better. Thank you all for your replies!
I started sleeping in this position about a year ago or so, (not sure), I almost have no pain most days. I also nap in this position. I’m going to try adding in the hand position and movements next. Thanks so much for your videos. You have changed my life. I thought I was doomed to a life of pain but it turns out I’m not. (I’m only 36 btw, but I’ve had problems since high school).
Thanks for sharing!
Thanks!
sorry to hear that!
Happy to help!
Hello, here is a video that hopefully can help you get up off the floor easier: https://youtu.be/Nc_DJNlmnyQ
that’s awesome to hear!
anytime!
Happy to help!
We are so happy you found relief!
Thank YOU!
You are very welcome 🙂
Great to hear!
Thanks!
Is it ok to do that if you have herniated discs?
I’m 34 and almost gave up hope. I sometimes cry because of my back pain and thought that it would only get worse as I age im so happy I found bob and Brad
@T W seems like they might have just mended at least two broken hearts, so glad to hear you’re doing better.
decompression and exercise. Going to the pool and either 1) hands on the side allowing the legs to hang down, 2. you mentioned going for a walk. If this is difficult the pool can be a great way to go for a walk while reducing shocks and pressure on feet, legs and back.while supporting the weight of the person. As you mentioned, no fancy equipment required.
Thanks again guys this stretch helped me tremendously . Also add floating in a pool with a noodle for few hours here and there really helped my severe lower back pain
Get better
I love it! This is what I do when my back really gets to hurting. Glad to know my instincts are correct!
@Connie I have that problem and I’m really large. The best solution I’ve found (and am buying) is two sets of folding gymnastics mats so I can have a firm platform that’s about 16” off the ground and 4’ long. I’m 5’4” but think that length is good enough since I’ll have my legs up. Thanks for asking!
Hi Bob and Brad ,thanks again for your advice you are my go to for all my aches and pains .What a team 👍❤
I use a 3″ pool noodle to roll up and down my back while I am on the floor. It is firm enough and soft enough that it doesn’t feel like my spine is being bruised. Just lying down doesn’t always help enough.
Good luck to you Bob !
