I wish her the best, addiction is hard and it’s even harder when you have a traumatic past. My heart goes out to her
2 liters of booze a day? That was me. Watching this in 2021. Thankful for 21 months of sobriety. I wish this woman well.
For anybody who is going through alcoholism. Try to stop as soon as you can. You are strong and I know you can do it.
At 5 years and 3 months clean off drugs and alcohol I still remember being like this.
To anyone who is on the other side of that fence, wondering what a life free of drugs and alcohol is like… it’s so worth it! You can do it if you are willing to do whatever it takes. 🙏♥️
I’ll have 3 years of sobriety from painkillers this coming May. For anyone who is struggling, keep fighting. Recovery is most definitely possible
This has to be one of the worst cases I’ve seen on this show. My heart breaks for her and her family. I wish her all the best In life.
Happy to hear she dropped the fentanyl! My father passed away from fent in 2018 and I found his body when I was only 17 – addiction is something that affects the whole family, I wish nothing but the best for those battling addiction and those who have loved ones battling. Be patient, work with them, take it one day at a time, at the end of the day the only one who can choose to get better is the addict themselves.
drinkin fireball too… good lord. thats bum juice
I’m trying to get over my own alcohol addiction. Thankfully me getting a dog and taking walks with him give me a great feeling almost like the highs I used to chase. I hope everyone out there struggling with anything at all can find their peace and comfort🙏🏼 watching these always make me so grateful and also want to help everyone dealing with addictions or problems of their own..
I do love that the family does understand her trauma. Not everyone gets that
I’m so sorry for your loss. I also lost my youngest daughter from fent in 2018. Hope you are healing from the trauma. If you ever need to talk LMK.
@Daniel Newman sorry for your loss as well and same to you!
It’s refreshing to see her family understanding that her behaviour comes from a place of deep and compounded trauma. People that don’t understand addiction and trauma tend to react in the wrong ways when it comes to behaviour like this, and that reaction only reinforces the thought processes the keep addicts addicted.
That was a really heart breaking moment to watch when she described her partner overdosing in her arms. Really glad she’s sober. She seems like a really good sober mum to her kids.
She relapsed sadly
This is so eye opening. I’m 36 I’ve been sober 8 years, this could have been me so easily. I’ve been with my boyfriend almost 9 years and getting our small farmhouse on almost 10 acres this month.
I’m going through alcoholism at the moment and I can feel her pain
Her pulling out the bottle I understand 10K percent. I’ve nearly died too many times..it can be an absolute lifeline and a guillotine. I salute all soldiers going to battle with themselves.
@Adam Smith excuses excuses. Lots and lots of folks go through trauma and don’t become loser drug addicts. They cope and grow and overcome
@Paleo Easy for one to say who never been abused or got beaten up on a daily basis in their childhood.
Some people have had same setbacks, but they pull themselves up.
This chick makes me sick.
This truly goes to show how the childhood of a human being can really make or break someone.
Let go of the pain. You can start fresh today. The past is over💜
Me too. I’m struggling 😪
I would still seek professional help though. That’s great with your dog.
Use ganja instead, much better choice and the healthier one
Yeah they don’t get that sometimes when ppl wanna escape reality so much that comes from being in pain. They feel like they can’t deal with whatever is bothering them anymore. So instead of judging them it’s better to try and understand them and where they’re coming from. And help them get help if they want it.
@Jess Vega there’s no excuse for him doing that it’s good you left him. I would say don’t try and understand him bc he doesn’t deserve it. Drunk or not he put your life in danger and that’s not okay. And no it wasn’t your fault and it never will be.
It hurts to see someone with what looks like a good heart do damage to themselves as “punishment” for nothing
Hope you’re still on the path to recovery. You can do it! Get to meetings, get a sponsor, call them, sponsor someone else.
My heart breaks for her … I lost the man I was in love with the same way .. we decided to use after a couple weeks clean… it’s been over 4 years and I can still hear his last breathe. Honey you have to heal .. it’s never gonna go away. I’m so sorry you went thru this
Very true, people in addiction know their life is falling apart, but need that addiction to blank that point out. It’s a viscous circle. Sometimes they need intervention and people that understand addiction to help, people that care and love you, as much as they want to help, just can’t. But yes it was refreshing to see her family realise.
I was diagnosed with alcohol use disorder when I was a teen. I used to drink heavy & it got me in some very bad situations. But when I got pregnant with my daughter at 21 I completely stopped the minute I found out. I’m 22 and 10 months sober now. I was really far gone!! But anyone can do it.
Thank you! I’ll have a year next week. 💛💪🙏 And my boys are happy and we are all doing great 👍 Thanks for the support ❤️
Congrats that is awesome
@gypsy 1999 I’m so happy for you. I bet you’re a great mom congrats
My heart is with you. Thank you for your support.
I remember watching this show in the mid 2000s in the midst of my own severe alcohol addiction. This show helped me get sober and I’ve been sober for the past 13 years.
Amen!
Been sober 5 years. Life still sucks, just not as bad as before. Just being honest.
For real oh my god
Yep, when I was an active alcoholic, the most unhelpful response I’d get from people was anger at my behavior.
@Josh Brajevich update it’s white cho
@Krystal 👏👏💗😇🙏
@gypsy 1999 proud of you. I’m going through depression and alcoholism im drunk right now just somebody please reply
Truly an inspiration to many! We all love u so much and keep moving strong 💪❤
@Krystal Keep it going 💪🏻🙌🏻
@Krystal ❤️❤️🙏🙏
i am proud of you
Sylvia’s story in particular made me look closely at my own drinking to make sure I keep it something I like sometimes, but don’t need.
@Erv Oro without being sober I would have never been able to hold down the same job for six years, let alone save money. All the money I had went to the liquor store. so I’m sorry me working my butt of in the medical field (also during a pandemic) working for what I have! is you thinking I’m bragging. Why get sober if you don’t have dreams or goals? I was never handed anything. My farm took months of hands on work. Painting,drywall,plumbing,electrical, We did it all. We got up at 530 in the morning to go to work, Then go to the farm to work on it. most of the time only having a couple hours of sleep. Guess what I’m doing now? That’s right still working on my house late at night.
That is absolutely horrible! I am so sorry for you!
@William which is why GOD needs to be number one in your life! I will pray for you and for strength and peace.
😂😂😂😂 useless advice
Amos 5:8 -5:9- 7 stars (planets) align Mercury Venus Moon Mars Jupiter Saturn, Write these stars down. circle the letters you use. We Will see whats been in front of us. only to be discovered when its time. Jesus return soon Rapture Mercy Man! TIME IS RUNNING OUT. ACCEPT JESUS AS YOUR PERSONAL SAVIOR AND REPENT. BELIEVE. TURN FROM YOUR WICKED WAYS!
@alexandra you’re looking at things in the abstract and as a result, you’re so “open” “minded” that your brains have fallen- out.
Salute
I’m sorry you did too. Thanks for this message
@Krystal that’s amazing!! i’m so happy for you, keep it up ❤️
@Crabby Padty no not all want to stop
Not sure. Don’t forget this is reality TV. And nothing is real. Looks like she was either putting it on, or secretly enjoying it.
Congratulations,2 Years Have Passed For Me. 👋
@Jess Vega not sure exactly how to respond. No its not ok. Yes people do and say things in blackouts that arent really them. Jmo. Anytime it turns physical the person has to own their part.
4 months here 💪💪💪
One year sober here too! I didn’t drink daily, but I binged WAY too often. Once a week usually. I decides to quit, my best decision ever.
I needed to read this 🫶
After reading this comment, I am now sober after 3 yrs, I thx u for saving my life🫡🙌
@M_ D first of all, no one advocates quitting alcohol cold turkey, there’s a phased deaddiction cycle with benzos
Secondly, and more importantly, there’s no way she stays clean unless she’s highly motivated. Even if she starts a detox program. So obviously there’s an element of choice in her condition, and it’s not as simple as she’s a slave to her condition, and will literally die if she stops drinking. A rather amateurish take on what is a complex situation
@Cosmetologeek again, no one is saying quit alcohol cold turkey, but you obviously have a pedestrian understanding of what deaddiction entails.
Stop pretending like ur an expert when ur not
@Robynn Falls I never knew ur mother, but no amount of external support can help a person kick an addiction if they aren’t highly motivated themselves
@Swash Buckler23 I come from a family full of addicts with alcoholism being the main one and I myself have struggled with substance abuse and mental illness that I have sought treatment for. With all do respect – keep your elitist snarky comments to yourself. The person I was replying to implied that the solution to alcoholism is to simply “stop drinking”. This is an ignorant comment as a-lot of the time the drinking is used as a coping mechanism to treat underlying issues and that is very apparent in her case. I never claimed to be an expert I just stated very well known information that comes from treatment/professionals and others here have said the same. I am also not absolving her of responsibility. Its still a choice. And everyday she makes the choice to drink and not a choice to get sober is absolutely on her. But for her to have a chance to heal and STAY sober it is not as simple as “stop drinking”. Not sure why that ruffles your feathers. “Motivation” seems to be your answer but guess what – no one is highly motivated when they are at rock bottom and hate their existence so much so that they have to drink it away. You have to want it sure, but you have to build motivation with help most of the time and its a process. There are so many variables at play and you don’t seem to understand them at all.
@Dannielle Monroe it’s hard for me too I drink every other day. I came to this because I walked 2 miles to the store and it was closed. It’s like I’m going through it right now. It’s so hard
What a blessing to have those beautiful siblings!! This lady has had tremendous trauma and to have that support is wonderful! I haven’t cried at this show in a while I hope she does beautiful!!
Proud of you guy
@Sugarcube you are Not alone
I am addicted right now , and i dont see Any problem at all with me – as long as i can do my stuff like job,home obligations and i Control my emotions there is no need for Any therapy or stop drinking
