I buy the coconut milk that’s in a can that’s organic from Native Forest and it’s BPA free. I use it when I’m making my mushroom, cacao or turmeric lattes. It’s delicious and so creamy.. I usually mix it with it with some filtered water when I’m making it…Thanks Dr. Berg!
We regularly consume coconut milk. Mostly 3 days in a week. But we make it fresh from the coconuts and not the canned milk. So there are no preservatives in the milk or any of the nasty stuff. My wife adds raw cacao powder, stevia, cinnamon powder and Cardamom powder to it and it tastes like a chocolate milk shake. It helps us to keep our hunger away and it’s also a good reward for having eaten our keto meals.

In subtropical and tropical regions coconut water has always been used for electrolyte replenishment. In my home country of India, the people who engage in outdoor labor intensive activities, where they sweat profusely, coconut water was the drink of choice. Granted, most of these people are not insulin resistant, so the few amount of carbs that are in the coconut water don’t have the adverse effects they would to a heavily insulin resistant sedentary office worker.
Thanks to coconut milk, I can have the keto friendly and nutrient dense version of my favourite treat – ice cream! Coconut milk + avocado + berries/cocoa powder + Stevia + pink Himalayan salt, blend it and put it in the freezer. In alternative to avocado, Greek yogurt or heavy cream.

Hiii everyone… I’ll give one awesome receipe…. One cup of coconut milk add 3 to 4 gm of cardamom and add 1 spoon of jaggery… It’s taste awesome… We in Tamilnadu used to have it with AAPAM, EDIYAPAM.
@Tootie Not too fruitie get some coconut slices with water and put it in a mixer jar. Then strain it with pure cotton cloth… You will have fresh coconut milk at home itself….
@Burts Desserts instead of grating put it in mixer jar… It will form a paste like… Then add some water and then strain it….

I started my intermittent fasting and keto journey 3weeks ago, however, I’ve been finding it difficult to poo. Always hard and makes me spend longer time in the toilet.

Hello Dr Berg, I’m from the Caribbean we usually don’t use coconut milk from a can. I’m wondering if the carb count is low or high if you make coconut milk at home.
@My Tiny Keto Life Yes usually I freeze it until rock hard, but if you don’t dillute it too much by not adding much water and don’t freeze it, it will make for a kind of mousse dessert which is also very nice.

Coconut water is AMAZING I have shot adrenals and I sweat easily & extremely fatigued and get dehydrated super easily. Coconut water is SO HEALING. I feel so much better after drinking it to replenish my electrolytes I have one everyday !!!

I’m your big fan! Your videos confirmed why going low carb reversed my chronic fatigue caused by Hashimoto. Could please make a video on whether coconut is good or bad for endometriosis. Someone on the FB group pointed out that it contains phytoestrogens therefore not good. I’ve been doing intermittent fasting and eating chea pudding with coconut milk to break fast but I’m having intense endo ovary pain lately so, I wonder if coconut is to blame. If so, I don’t know what I can substitute for my chia pudding 🥲
