Hi Mel, these tortillas look amazing . I’m mostly impressed with how pliable they are in video. However, my first batch didnt come out that way. I can fold them over in half but thats it. They seems to crisp up a bit.
I’d really like to make them as pliable as they are in the video. I’m interested in making breakfast burritos with them. anyone have any suggestions ? π
Hello Joe. When cool they do become stiff. Did you test them when warm? If you still have them you could warm them by reheating in the frying pan then shape them to how you like. When cooled they take the shape you created them in. Please let me know if they were crispy even warm because all the above would not be helpful.

I would like to add that you can put the tortilla in the pan with the parchment paper on the BOTTOM. Cook the first side, flip them over together, and the paper will peel right off when the tortilla is ready. This method can also be used for many other delicate foods like breads, pancakes, eggs, fritters, fried cheese, etc, or even if your pan isn’t nonstick

We also made enchiladas with a red sauce that was so good that we canβt tell the difference between Melβs recipe and the flour tortillas.
We make a bunch and freeze them for later . I highly recommend her recipe.
