I make a citrus liquor for margaritas to sub for triple sec: the finely grated zest of 12 large oranges and some erythritol steeped in a 700ml bottle of vodka for a month, then strained. I often add a teaspoon of citric acid powder or to taste. Not surprisingly, the erythritol dissolves readily in alcoholic liquor
Sounds delicious! I make sugar-free coffee liqueur… but the orange extract method is a lot simpler and tastes just as good, for folks who don’t want to put in the extra work!
