8. kay kay it could be , the only way to know is if you switch back to your normal detergent and it doesn’t occur again . You may be allergic to something in the new detergent

10. Is it possible to have both? BV and yeast infection? At first I thought I have yeast infection because I had the signs…so I used over the counter 7 day Monistat. I thought it worked but my yeast came back the next month. I’ve had this a couple months and now I’ve noticed when I wake up in the morning I have this strong odor. Once I shower, theres no smell throughout the whole day until the next morning. My bf even mention that my pee has this strong smell.

11. 쓰러졌다천사가 yes it’s definitely possible to have both. For BV I recommend getting the prescription antibiotic to make sure it clears. There are also some probiotics you can take to prevent recurrences

16. I put on Desitin a day ago about a few hours later it started to itch but I thought that it was okay. I took it off last night and a few minutes later it wasn’t as irritated. This morning it was more itchy and my discharge is thick. Is it normal for desitin to do that?

17. I’m a 15 year old female almost 16. I have been dealing with a really strong fishy odor and clumpy white discharge. i have had this since I was 12. I went to the clinic once and they prescribed me a pill, and it was gone for a little. Sometimes the smell is stronger and sometimes is not there. It gets itchy only sometimes.

18. You should definitely go to a gynecologist again because that’s got to be so incredibly frustrating and obviously there’s an issue that needs some more help than just that one time pill. Best of luck!

20. I’m pregnant and I currently have both. Before I just had a BV. OBGYN gave me a prescription but I didn’t finish it because my symptoms went away. The medication then cause a yeast infection and caused my BV to come back. Trust me ladies I know it sucks to just have one. My question is is there ANY way to try and get rid of them both a NATURALLY??? I’m currently taking the BV medication again (as told to do so by my OB then to take the yeast infection one) I’m so scared none of the medications will work and it won’t go away .

    Boric acid has been shown to treat both BV and Yeast infections. For recurrent BV infections lots of guidelines are even recommended boric acid after the oral antibiotics. The only thing with being pregnant it can cross the placenta so may not be safe for the baby. Bring it up to your gynecologist to see if they are ok with you taking that during pregnancy. 😌

22. @Adrianna Shardey, Pharmacist does this interact with any medication? I’m on hydroxychloroquine for Sarcoidosis of my eyelid. I was just on a round of Amoxicillin as well. Also…. does pomegranate extract and grapefruit extract interact with hydroxychloroquine?

23. I have never in my life heard of “Bv.” Until I had it, I was freaking out. Turns out it was from a guy I was seeing, I haven’t gotten BV since I stopped seeing him.

29. All my symptoms are like yeast infection, including getting it due to certain type of antibiotics except for the colour of the discharge. Is it possible for yeast infection discharge to be slightly yellow-greenish? Or if it is trichomoniasis, is it possible to get it after 4 months of being sexually inactive?

30. What she has forgot to mention is that sometimes with BV, you may have blood in your discharge. That was my experience. I just finished my course of antibiotics and probiotics.

34. I always recommend speaking with your doctor, especially if it’s your first time having symptoms. I am currently going through my second time having BV this year. If I had to guess…. I would have said I had a yeast infection. I had severe itching, no odor to my discharge,etc. but it was NOT a yeast infection. In fact, they treated me for a yeast infection the first time and it made my symptoms so much worse until they treated me for BV and then I finally had relief. 🙏🏻😅 They recommended taking vaginal probiotics to help keep the good bacteria in my system!

42. @Jade D I have no idea, everyone reacts to the implant and pill differently. Unfortunately you kind of need to see what works for you. You also need to let your body get used to birth control.

47. So I kinda have a mix of symptoms. I tested positive for BV but negative for trich. But I have more of the trich symptoms. Irritation, thick cakey yellow discharge and no odor. Could there have been a mistake? There was also Megasphaera detected. Could you possibly explain what that means?
