This was a great documentary. People really don’t know how hard it is to deal with any kind of addiction
I struggled for 22 years. Always wanting to quit and never being able. This August I will be 3 years smoke free! I’m so proud of you! Stay strong.
I personally do not vape. but I can really appreciate a sincere documentary advocating for quitting that isn’t some sort of TV campaign that just makes recovering addicts/addicts who desire to quit feel worse or just deter them from quitting altogether. this was a great look at how nicotine addiction is a reality. congrats on quitting and great doc.
so many people are complimenting the documentary itself but i want to compliment YOU. this was such a hard decision to make and i’m so impressed and proud of how resilient you were and all the times that you could’ve broken your streak and you didn’t. amazing!! so proud and good luck xx
i don’t know you, but i am extremely proud of you. quitting was close to impossible for me. watching this helped me to gain confidence to not go back. i’m a bit over 2 years sober off nic, weed, alc, and others and i’ll tell you that it doesn’t become easy. BUT when you start to see your life quality improve it WILL become more worth it
I appreciate your kind words and support immensely, thank you
I am so proud of you Jennifer :’-)
This was a great video. The production quality is off the charts. I’m so proud of you. For those saying it’s easy, no it’s not. No addiction is easy otherwise it wouldnt be an addiction. We all have our struggles, can’t we just be happy this girl overcame hers?
I started at 14. I’m currently 22 and still trying to kick the nic habit. Mad props to anyone who’s had the strength to fully quit and never go back. I’ve quit 7 times and relapsed each time. I try but the withdrawal and mood swings are too intense for me to handle. To any teens who still think vaping is please reconsider. It’s not cool and not a game and I pay the price daily for it.
I’ve tried quitting. The longest I’ve gone is 5 days. She is absolutely correct on everything.
We also gotta praise Sean for being an amazing friend, $3,000 of his own money as motivation to help his friends succeed at a goal that’ll never affect him. W friend
I’m so proud of you!! <3
This is the accurate representation of what an addiction looks like. I’ve been trying to quit cutting since I was 12, I’m 17 now. Keep going, we’re strong!!!!
as someone who’s never had a nicotine addiction, this video has helped me understand what a lot of people go through/have gone through and I’m grateful to know how to support whoever is in need. the editing was very well made and to everyone out there who wants to change I wish you good luck and you all got this. One day at a time 🙂
Instead of trying tobacco / nicotine free cigarettes, you could’ve used e-liquid with 0% nicotine.
just don’t start lmao
proud of you bro, love you, and stay strong <3
@Paris Fox ill litterally go months without it during summer break and then go back to hitting nic the entire school year after. no issues, its not that hard
Can completely relate. At age 19 I was doing coke, none of my friends or family knew about it and so I had to go through it all alone for the first few months. Until I tried to take my life. Its coming up to 1 year today and I am still struggling on a daily basis with my mental health but I am so glad I quit.
3 years ago, before we got married, my wife found out that I had been vaping at work. She didn’t give me an ultimatum, but rather she gave me a HAND WRITTEN list of all the things we couldn’t do if I died from cancer. When I saw that list I decided to stop. It’s been a long road of ups and downs, but I ultimately stopped. Going strong! Quitting vaping was so much harder than giving up alcohol and I’ve been sober for 3.5 years. To all those out there struggling with vaping addiction: I love you and wish you healing vibes.
As someone who struggles with two addictions (don’t feel the need to specify) this hits very close to home. I’ve been clean from one of them for 3 weeks but never stop thinking about it. It’s such a horrible thing to deal with. You know how dangerous addictions can be you know it can ruin your life, how it might kill you, but you can’t stop. The part when you were talking about the voice telling you you’d rather die young than not vape was so emotional for me to watch. It shows just how unreasonable addiction makes you. I just want to say I’m proud of you. I’m proud that you stuck to it no matter how much you struggled along the way. You’re really strong, stronger than you think. This documentary portrays addiction so well. I hope that people who watch this who don’t struggle with addition understand it more and realize just how much it can ruin a person. And if anyone struggling reads this, I believe in you. You can get better. Even if you relapse, have only been clean for a few days, maybe even a few hours, I’m proud of you. <3
Your wife is the coolest
Sometimes I really wish we knew vaping was just as bad as smoking, I feel like it would be so much easier for me.
this is so beautifully documented! also, i’d like to mention that addiction is an illness, not a choice. we need to be more empathetic when dealing with such issues.
@Paris Fox its not hard to quit just stop doing it 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀
the longest i quit was 2 weeks. back in december last year when i was 17. i was flying alone to england and didn’t know if i could bring my vape. i didn’t want to get it taken at the airport cos obv i was under age. i ultimately decided to leave it because my boyfriend (who i was going to visit) didn’t know i vape. the first few days weren’t too bad and the rest of the time was okay(ish) but i came right back to it as soon as i got home. i think i’m more addicted now than i was back then
He was using a statistical analysis with the probability they would quit or not. He was trying to profit off a bet
@John Brown but she quit because sean mentioned this bet so overall i say the end justifies the means regardless of any profit he gained
Tomorrow is going to be 2 months without any nicotine for me. Studies show that a lot of people relapse during this time and im starting to believe it, i still get cravings at least twice a day and on the days i dont think about it at all, i end up dreaming about it when i sleep. Half of me thinks that its going to stay like this for the rest of my life and the other half wants to live a normal life again. Its hard…
Bro I quit so easy like it was so easy ppl might just be different but God it did nothing to me I’m 7 months clean
For your friends! Or anyone who has had fall backs…. For most people, it’s part of the process! What she has managed to accomplish is absolutely incredible and I wish it to anyone struggling with addiction, but going back to it a few times does not mean you can’t make it!
Amaaazing documentary will definetely be sending it to people who need it….
I think hearing it from someone our age (who is very pretty btw 😉 could have such a better effect on teenagers than if told by someone older we have no relation to…. so yeah. Incredible
Almost there! So excited for you
Then stop doing anything that bad for your health
@gdishbshsh ok but I don’t get why people do drugs or anything that is bad about for their health just stop and don’t do it in the first place
If you don’t hold it and quite you will doe young you might not even make ot at 40 years old as your lungs will die and so sill you pray god to help you and try as hard even if it seems imposibble you can do it
@shalbec💞true, but i still want to compliment her on her dedication and impressive work. she messed up but she’s doing so well to fix it
@Mario O yeah she wanted that money to buy more vapes
The nicotine gum helps with reducing the wanting to smoke hrite
@BloccboyBen Let’s Speak English “ain”, “prolly”, “dawg” etc., aren’t words. And I’m a human, not a dog. And again, I’m 54. When I was young, if I even suggested the use of tobacco my dad would have straight-up ended me. He grew up in Asia, where it’s perfectly acceptable to physically discipline your kids. He doesn’t follow western PC doctrine. And to this DAY, I thank him for that discipline. I grew up afraid of getting my backside whooped, so I never even dreamed of doing such a thing. I wish it was still legal for me to discipline my kids that way, here in 2022, but there are other ways I can do it.
He betted 21,000$ ( 3,000$ each )
I have a little bit of a drinking problem, I also use nicotine but I’m nowhere near as addicted to that as the person was in this video.
peer pressure. the type of people you hang around highly effects it. think of it like this. lets say you have a group of 3 best friends (you being one of them). now lets say that the other 2 of them smoke/vape/do drugs. everyday when you guys hang out they’ll be doing all this infront of you and they’ll offer to let you use theirs. at first, its easy to say no, but as time goes on, you’ll give in. (i know you’ll probably be like, “oh i wouldn’t, id just keep saying no” but trust me, you would eventually say yes, keep in mind these are your best friends) one day, you’ll say yes. you’ll try it. then you’ll do it again. and again. and again. and again. eventually you buy or get your own (whether its drugs, cigs, or vapes) it’ll become a daily thing and you can’t quit it. its extremely difficult. nicotine and drugs are easy to start, but hard to quit.
@shalbec💞 she’s working hard. i’d reward that instead of chastising her for an action that she knows is wrong
I want to quit but it’s the hardest commitment you have to make
@jack williams You said yourself that that age is young, it’s BECAUSE they are young at age 14 that they don’t know any better. And oftentimes strict parents breed kids who act out more in secret.
@jack williams Also, it’s the internet. Let them use internet talk like “prolly,” lol it’s not that big of a deal
Omg i’m so proud of you, I don’t vape but knowing myself and how easily I get addicted to anything that detached me from reality I would probably be dead, cheers for being so strong plus you had multiple people around you caved and still you stand strong, sending prayers for them to quit nicotine too, bc even tho it feels great now, in the long run you will probably regret it.
WOw, you’re awesome.
W fr
How are you doing? Do you get cravings randomly?
I literally have watched so many of my friends and ex friends become addicted to nicotine and it’s hard watching them begin to ruin their lives. I had a friend who kept telling me she wanted to start vaping to help with anxiety. I told her that it wasn’t a good idea and that there are other ways that will in the long run be better for her. Unfortunately we stopped being friends and she started hanging out with “the wrong crowd” nothing against these people but they do things such as smoke a lot of weed, drink and ofc vape. I almost feel like I failed her even tho I know it was her own choice to begin knowing it was bad for her and In the long run would just cause her more anxiety. I still get embarrassed to watch people who think vaping is cool and almost encourage others to start. And it’s hard to watch kids who are as young as 10 vape “because it looked cool” not knowing any of the long term effects. We need more videos like this showing the side effects of vaping and how hard it can be to quit. People tell me all the time oh I’m not addicted I can quit whenever I want yet I know for a fact they say it to make themselves feel better. I wish to god that vaping and nicotine would be made illegal or there were more stricter rules to buying it and posting it about it. It could save people so much money and potentially save lives of many young adults. To anyone who’s trying to quit- I know it’s hard and tho I have never been addicted to nicotine I’ve been addicted to medications to make myself feels better and I know that addiction is rough. But I believe in everyone of you and I know that you will get through this. You have many people supporting you to kick this addiction and I’m so proud of you for taking the step to stop. And to anyone who has quit I am so f*cking proud of you. You did what you thought you couldn’t do and I hope that you feel amazing about what you overcame.
@RainbowKelly It is a big deal. Improper grammar shows ignorance.
i hate seeing my friends and ex friends becoming addicted especially childhood friends who you remember saying that they would never smoke or anything ☹
this has happened to me too, and you said it right. it’s just sad to watch your old friends fall down that hole, what makes it worse is when they know the side effects.
