@myla marie Actually to be diagnosed with ADHD one of the criteria is you have to have had symptoms your whole life since it’s a developmental disorder that means when your brain was formed it was already pre-disposed to various dysregulation.
As someone who was incredibly allergic to poison oak I can tell you that calamine lotion does absolutely nothing to relive the itch.

When I was a little kid I had a bad reaction when I got exposed the warts for the first time. I had a bunch all over my chest and the duct tape method worked perfectly!

Wow, guess our grandparents home treatments were actually correct… I’ve been using all of these for years except for the duct tape, I will add that to my list. Also cold teabags work great for dental pain especially after you loose/pull a tooth, the tannic acid in tea help bleeding, and pain. Also help from getting a “dry socket” after tooth pulled.
I have been increasing my Intermittent fasting to almost 23 hrs on a daily basis. But then something strange happened. I started getting face mites. When I did research I found a connection between that and fasting. Does Dr Mike perhaps have experience of this phenomenon during fasting? Is there a natural cure or should one stop fasting?

When you fast, do you fast from water too? Also, fasting starves the good bacteria in your gut, so you could be killing more of your good bacteria than bad and that immediately affects skin
My coworker is 20 years old and delivered to me “candy gives you cavities so I don’t eat candy” the same way a 5year old who has just watched the school video before being given a new toothbrush would. Candy doesn’t give you cavities. Bad oral hygiene in general gives you cavities. Brush after eating sugar and acid so it’s not sitting on your teeth!
I don’t know anything about face mites, but I’m fairly certain that Dr. Mike would tell you that eating all your days worth of food within an hour is not a healthy choice long term and you should take it easier
It’s amazing how many things my mother has done over the years aren’t common knowledge to other people. A lot of these things she already beat into me growing up, lol (not literally). For instance, my mother always had an aloe vera plant in the house for when we got sunburned. The only thing that gets me is the soda. Not saying you’re wrong, cause you are right. I only ever drink soda when I have the stomach flu and can’t keep anything down, and even then I’m sipping on some sprite just so I have something. But, I tell you what, when I am hungover and dry heaving every 30 minutes, nothing helps faster than some saltine crackers and sipping on some sprite. Immediately helps every time.

The duct tape one actually works! A few years ago, I had a bunch of warts on my hands, and they were pretty big. I tried this method after reading about it online and I lost all my warts within about 2-3 weeks.

I remember when my eczema would be at its worst as a kid and it hurt to walk my skin was so bad, oatmeal baths helped immensely, and always used aloe vera on sunburns, works wonders!

Posting my experience here in case it helps someone- I had a really persistent wart on my foot as a kid. We tried the duct tape method, but it didn’t work well enough to clear the wart, so I did end up having to get cryotherapy. Doctor Mike says this can be uncomfortable, and he’s right- but by my memory, the discomfort was very minor. The first few treatments it was very mild discomfort, it felt cold and stung slightly for a few minutes afterward. The final few treatments felt like a hard pinching sensation along with the cold, and I remember being very startled at the time. The stinging lasted longer and was slightly sharper, but faded after about an hour. It was a very effective treatment and I would do it again in a heartbeat.

Everybody has some face mites. If they got out of control then the ecosystem of your skin got destabilised, it is probably missing some kind of nutrient. Check your diet or have a doctor do a blood test for nutrient deficiencies. Oh, and make sure you drink water more often. You can eat only once a day and do fine, but you need to stay hydrated.

One neat thing my dentist told me when I had my wisdom teeth removed was that if the bleeding was slow but not stopping after a few hours was that I could use a soft black tea bag in place of gauze since it helps constrict the blood vessels in the wound.

I’ve never heard of the delayed sleep disorder and I feel like it really describes what I deal with. Definitely going to talk my doctor about it because I’ve been suffering from sleep issues my whole life and have only recently decided I need to get it under control after I had to ask someone else to drive me because I was too concerned about potentially falling asleep behind the wheel.
I’ve been telling everyone my whole life i had insomnia as a kid, and Doctor Mike just described my “insomnia” perfectly. Except it wasn’t insomnia was it doctor Mike?

@isekye my mom would use a tablespoon and then get a tiny bit of water on it so the sugar would stay on the tongue and help it go down. Don’t put a huge heaping tablespoon of sugar, you need space for room for a bit of water.
